GOP Shiats on Mitt over Minimum Wage

Romney, in 2008 when running for President, said that he was a proponent of automatically increasing minimum wage to keep up with inflation. Romney in 2012 says he hasn't changed his position on this. After saying that he caught shiat from a lot of prominent GOPhers including the USCoC, Dick Armey's FreedomWorks, Club For Growth, Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Steve Forbes, Jim DeMint et al.

Waiting for him to flip flop on this in 1, 2, 3...

WASHINGTON -- While most of America was chowing down on Super Bowl nachos and beer, conservative columnist Tucker Carlson was enjoying an extravagant feast in a penthouse apartment overlooking downtown Chicago. But what Carlson was doing is not as strange as who he was doing it with. Carlson, the founder of the conservative website, The Daily Caller, spent Sunday evening dining with the co-founders of the 1960's domestic terrorist group Weather Underground - Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn.

Birther attorney Orly Taitz has lost another court challenge against President Barack Obama's citizenship, this time in Georgia where no attorneys for Obama showed up. Administrative Judge Michael Malihi, who said ordinarily he would rule for the plaintiffs when the defense refused to appear, ruled for Obama. Malihi said, "None of the testifying witnesses provided persuasive testimony. Moreover, the Court finds that none of the written submissions tendered by Plaintiffs have probative value."

Florida Man Sues Newt For Assault Over Crushed Toe.

Dillard claims Newt then noticed his Ron Paul t-shirt and "immediately turned his back" to him and went on to greet other people. That's when Dillard claims several of Gingrich's security team came up to him and tried to "intimidate him into moving from the spot."

Dillard -- who says he was wearing open-toed sandals -- then claims one of the agents "lifted his heeled shoe over Dillard's right foot and dug the back of it into his skin, twisting it side-to-side like he was stomping out a cigarette, causing a fracture to Dillard's right foot."

After a minor tussle, Dillard claims the guy who stomped his foot shouted to other members of his team, "Everyone step on his toes!"

Ron Paul: 'Zero Chance' He'll Drop Out

Asked by CNN this week if he'd drop out of the presidential race, Ron Paul replied "zero chance." He added, "If we continue amassing delegates, certainly we'll keep going until it's very obvious. But to think in the next week or two all of the sudden that there is going to be a declaration of who is going to be the winner, I don't think that is likely to happen. So I'll likely be in the race after that. "I'll see you in the caucus states."

Colbert Helps GOP Candidates "Prepare" @ #preparethem

The Republican presidential campaign has turned nasty. Mitt Romney in Florida was accused of "drowning" Newt Gingrich in negative campaign ads. Romney, after winning the Sunshine State's primary, shrugged off the criticism, saying a competitive primary doesn't divide but rather "prepares" the candidates.

So Stephen Colbert on Wednesday did his party to prepare the GOP presidential hopefuls by launching a new Twitter hashtag: #preparethem.

Romney Gets Secret Service Protection

Mitt Romney is getting Secret Service protection Wednesday, the Washington Post reports. Romney's campaign requested the protection and meets all the conditions for protection of a presidential candidate. He's the second Republican candidate to get such protection, after Herman Cain in November.

Imagine total government spending under his watch had the steepest annual decline in three decades. Imagine total government employees fell by the fastest rate in more than 60 years. Imagine that in his last two years, federal spending and federal employment grew by the slowest annual rate since the 1950s.

Now open your eyes. Welcome to Austerity USA. Total government employment -- that's federal, state, and local -- has indeed fallen by the sharpest annual rate since the 1940s. It's now at 2006 levels and declining.

Mitt Romney's triumph in Florida's Republican presidential primary, according to preliminary data from an exit poll of voters.While Romney held a narrow lead over the former House speaker among men, he easily outdistanced him among women, winning around five of their votes for every three that went to Gingrich. In the three states in which Republicans had already voted for their presidential nominee -- Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina -- there was relatively little difference in how the sexes divided their votes between the two rivals.Some of the data Tuesday suggested that many women's votes were influenced by a personal distaste for Gingrich.

Gingrich: Palin Will Play "Major Role In My Admin".

In an interview with Wolf Blitzer that will air today at 5:25 pm E.T. on CNN, Newt Gingrich said he will ask Sarah Palin "to play a major role" in his administration if elected President.

Gingrich's remarks come a day after the former Alaska governor and vice-Presidential candidate made waves by offering a quasi-endorsement of Gingrich on Fox News.

"I want to see this thing continue because iron sharpens iron," Palin told Fox's Sean Hannity. "If I had to vote in order to keep it going, I would vote for Newt."

Amid shaking hands and signing campaign posters in South Carolina, Mitt Romney took out his wallet and handed a wad of cash to a woman waiting to shake his hand on a rope line. Ruth Williams, 55, said she received a message from God to track him down. "I was on the highway praying and said, 'God just show me how to get [my] lights on,' and I pulled up to a stop sign and his bus was there," said Williams, who has been unemployed since last October. "And then God said, 'Follow the bus,' and I followed the bus to the airport."
