AP Finds Nazi Commander in Minnesota

A former commander of a Nazi SS military unit has lived without detection in Minneapolis for the past six decades, Associated Press reports. Michael Karkoc, 94, served as a top commander in the Ukrainian Self-Defense Legion, a unit accused of burning villages filled with women and children. Honorath Banach was 20 when she fled a Polish village before it was torched by the Nazi legion. "There was so much suffering, so many orphans, so much pain," Banach said. "Everything was burned down, even the fences, the trees. I could not even find my house."

The footage shows the belligerent billy headbutting an older woman onto the ground, drawing the ire of a man nearby who tries to kick the goat in the face. Unsuccessful, he engages the crazed kid in what looks like a game of tag around a tree, flailing at the creature as it stares him down.

The video below features the TIV 2, an Armadillo-like vehicle owned by IMAX filmmaker and Discovery Channel "Storm Chasers" star Sean Casey. Casey and compatriot Brandon Ivey were in Kansas where a supercell thunderstorm belched out several smaller tornadoes on Monday.

Ray Manzarek of The Doors Dies

Ray Manzarek, whose keyboard playing was a central element to the sound of '60s rock group The Doors, has died at the age of 74. According to the band's Facebook page, Manzarek died shortly after noon on Monday at the RoMed Clinic in Rosenheim, Germany, while surrounded by his wife Dorothy and his brothers Rick and James. Manzarek's spidery organ playing on "Light My Fire" is one of the most instantly recognizable sounds in rock history.

Bears Take a Beating On Wallstreet

Stocks bounced back from Thursday's loss to put the S&P 500 (^INX) back up to yet a new record at 1667.

While the major indices were only up modestly throughout the day, we saw a big acceleration in the last hour of trading, with the star of the day being the the small-cap Russell 2000 (INDEXRUSSELL:RUT), which nearly pierced the widely watched 1000 level. Additionally, US Treasuries pulled back following yesterday's pop, implying that there is still a possible rotation trade from bonds to stocks, which may be contributing to the market's astounding momentum in 2013.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - U.S. stocks on Tuesday rallied to another record-breaking close as Wall Street embraced the view of a still-improving economy. At 4 p.m. Eastern, the Dow Jones Industrial Average /quotes/zigman/627449 DJIA +0.82% rose 123.26 points to 15,214.94, its 18th straight Tuesday rise. "Since 2007, we've had 512 central-bank interest-rate cuts, which is probably one of the more important numbers," said Art Hogan, market strategist at Lazard Capital Markets. The S&P 500 Index /quotes/zigman/3870025 SPX +1.01% gained 16.60 points to 1,650.37. The Nasdaq Composite /quotes/zigman/12633936 COMP +0.69% advanced 23.82 points to 3,462.60.

Feds: No Arrest in Boston Bombing

Widespread media reports indicated that authorities had identified a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings and a man was arrested Wednesday afternoon by federal authorities, but the FBI issued a denial Wednesday afternoon. Surveillance video taken by cameras at Lord & Taylor on Boylston Street helped identify a suspect placing a bomb in the area of the Boston Marathon finish line.

Stock Market Posts Record Level

Stocks closed out the first quarter on a high note with the S&P 500 piercing through levels last seen in 2007 to end at a record high near 1,570 and the Dow logging its strongest quarter in 15 years. The Dow Jones Industrial Average soared an impressive 11.25 percent in the first three months of the year to log its best first-quarter performance since 1998. Interestingly, the blue-chip index has never finished a year in negative territory when the first quarter is up at least 8 percent.
