The Bazooka's strip club in Kansas City has gotten around an ordinance prohibiting total nudity by having a partially clothed dancer perform in front of a video on a large screen in which she's fully nude. "It drives me to excel," said dancer Megan DiMoniet. "I just want to put on bigger, better and stronger than ever."

SC Republicans Sued for Stiffing Hotel

The Southern Republican Leadership Conference failed to pay a $227,872 bill at the luxury Charleston Place hotel, which it had rented out as part of its efforts to showcase presidential candidates before the South Carolina primary. The hotel has sued the SRLC and its signatory, South Carolina political operative Robert C. Cahaly over the money dispute.

Walker Aide Pleads Guilty

A former aide to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) pleaded guilty Tuesday to soliciting campaign contributions while she was supposed to be working at her government job. Darlene Wink, 61, an assistant to Walker when he was Milwaukee County Executive, agreed as part of her plea to assist the investigation into illegal fundraising. Wisconsin Democratic party chair Mike Tate said the plea is the "clearest evidence yet of the culture of corruption built to benefit Scott Walker on his crooked path from Milwaukee to Madison."

O'Keefe Group Commits Voter Fraud

Several people associated with conservative activist James O'Keefe's Project Veritas committed voter fraud in New Hampshire Tuesday by procuring ballots under false names -- and could face federal or state criminal charges. They filmed themselves obtaining ballots in the name of dead people but did not vote. One fled a polling place when a poll watcher knew the dead person being impersonated. "If they were intentionally going in and trying to fraudulently obtain a ballot, they violated the law," said Hamline University law professor David Schultz.

Judge Had Conflict in Wisc. Union Case

The Wisconsin Supreme Court should void a state law curbing the power of public sector unions because a judge who ruled on the law had a conflict of interest, Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne argued in a court filing Friday. Judge Michael Gableman should have recused himself because a lawyer who represented the Republican-led state government in the case had represented Gableman on a personal issue. "Justice Gableman received legal representation from a private law firm, Michael Best & Friedrich, LLP in a personal legal matter without any obligation to pay legal fees," Ozanne claimed.

N.H. Paper Endorses Huntsman

Though it disagrees with Jon Huntsman on health care reform, extending the Bush tax cuts, abortion and gay rights, the Concord Monitor newspaper in New Hampshire has given him its endorsement for the Republican nomination. "Huntsman, a consistent but never doctrinaire conservative, would present the greatest challenge to Obama," the paper writes. "If elected, he would provide mature, informed and steady leadership."

Writing on behalf of the entire gay and lesbian community of Minnesota, a gay writer has apologized to state Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch (R) for causing her to stray from her husband with a staffer, an affair that caused her to resign her leadership position. "On behalf of all gays and lesbians living in Minnesota, I would like to wholeheartedly apologize for our community's successful efforts to threaten your traditional marriage," John Medeiros writes. "We apologize that our selfish requests to marry those we love has cheapened and degraded traditional marriage so much that we caused you to stray from your own holy union for something more cheap and tawdry."

Affordable Care Act Saves a Surprising $1.5 Billion

Over the past year and a half, Medicare has saved government health-care recipients an average of $569, the administration announced Tuesday, which collectively totals about $1.5 billion in savings on prescription-drug costs. The savings resulted from the closing of the so-called doughnut hole, a component of Medicare's prescription-drug program that covered most of the cost of medication up to $2,800, and then again for all drugs over $4,550.
