The Bazooka's strip club in Kansas City has gotten around an ordinance prohibiting total nudity by having a partially clothed dancer perform in front of a video on a large screen in which she's fully nude. "It drives me to excel," said dancer Megan DiMoniet. "I just want to put on bigger, better and stronger than ever."

The Southern Republican Leadership Conference failed to pay a $227,872 bill at the luxury Charleston Place hotel, which it had rented out as part of its efforts to showcase presidential candidates before the South Carolina primary. The hotel has sued the SRLC and its signatory, South Carolina political operative Robert C. Cahaly over the money dispute.

<wordzilla:extended>In the complaint filed in the Charleston County Court of Common Pleas, the hotel says it has come to believe that the SRLC "was grossly undercapitalized, failed to observe corporate formalities, was insolvent, and was mere[ly] used as a fa&#231;ade for the operations of the defendant Cahaly." In addition it says, "Cahaly, an individual businessman, has sought to hide from the normal consequences of carefree entrepenuring by doing so through a corporate shell.</wordzilla:extended>

A former aide to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) pleaded guilty Tuesday to soliciting campaign contributions while she was supposed to be working at her government job. Darlene Wink, 61, an assistant to Walker when he was Milwaukee County Executive, agreed as part of her plea to assist the investigation into illegal fundraising. Wisconsin Democratic party chair Mike Tate said the plea is the "clearest evidence yet of the culture of corruption built to benefit Scott Walker on his crooked path from Milwaukee to Madison."

BASIC CABLE, NY &#150; After a decades-long battle that spanned nearly two weeks, Stephen Colbert has wrested control of Colbert Super PAC from the clutches of his arch-nemesis and dear friend, Jon Stewart. "Colbert Super PAC has brought in a staggering $1,023,121.24, which my accountant explains to me that is a number far above 'one,' 'two,' 'five,' or even 'many'" said Stephen Colbert, President and Returning Champion of Colbert Super PAC. "We raised it on my show and used it to materially influence the elections &#150; in full accordance with the law. It's the way our founding fathers would have wanted it, if they had founded corporations instead of just a country."

Several people associated with conservative activist James O'Keefe's Project Veritas committed voter fraud in New Hampshire Tuesday by procuring ballots under false names -- and could face federal or state criminal charges. They filmed themselves obtaining ballots in the name of dead people but did not vote. One fled a polling place when a poll watcher knew the dead person being impersonated. "If they were intentionally going in and trying to fraudulently obtain a ballot, they violated the law," said Hamline University law professor David Schultz.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court should void a state law curbing the power of public sector unions because a judge who ruled on the law had a conflict of interest, Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne argued in a court filing Friday. Judge Michael Gableman should have recused himself because a lawyer who represented the Republican-led state government in the case had represented Gableman on a personal issue. "Justice Gableman received legal representation from a private law firm, Michael Best & Friedrich, LLP in a personal legal matter without any obligation to pay legal fees," Ozanne claimed.

Over the past year and a half, Medicare has saved government health-care recipients an average of $569, the administration announced Tuesday, which collectively totals about $1.5 billion in savings on prescription-drug costs. The savings resulted from the closing of the so-called doughnut hole, a component of Medicare's prescription-drug program that covered most of the cost of medication up to $2,800, and then again for all drugs over $4,550.

Herman Cain told supporters Saturday that he is suspending his presidential campaign, which has become hobbled in recent weeks by allegations of sexual harassment and an Atlanta woman's claim that they carried on a 13-year affair. Recently, Cain acknowledged that Ginger White's allegations of an affair have led to a drop in campaign contributions, and a <i>Des Moines Register</i> poll shows his support among likely Republican Iowa caucus-goers has fallen to 8%, down from 23% in October.

At the end of the day, the (Affordable Care Act) is &#150; in the main &#150; little more than a successful effort to put an end to some of the more egregious health insurer abuses while creating an environment that should bring more Americans into programs that will give them at least some of the health care coverage they need. There is, however, one notable exception &#150; and it's one that should have a long lasting and powerful impact on the future of health care in our country.
