Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) urged the White House to release unedited transcripts from President Donald Trump's meeting with top Russian officials last week to Capitol Hill following reports that Trump shared highly classified information with the two men. ... "Until the administration provides the unedited transcript, until the administration fully explains the facts of this case, the American people will rightly doubt if their president can handle our nation's most closely kept secrets," Schumer said in a floor speech Tuesday morning.

Trump can't handle Kelleyanne or Shawn, much less his responsibilities as President.

No. Give him until noon Friday to resign or start impeachment. They would have impeached Clinton or Obama twice over for this already.

Even before all of this "classified info" stuff started leaking out, I had a big concern about the meeting.

During the campaign I noted that Pres Putin's agencies would be watching then candidate Trump to see how he reacts to, among other things, criticism and praise.

It became obvious that Trump, the ego, responds quite well to praise, loosening up and lowering his guard.

Now moving ahead to the Oval Office meetings with the Russians, the photos that were taken by the Russian photographer showed a Pres Trump with the happiest face I had seen on him in a very long time. The Russians obviously put him at ease and allowed Pres Trump to feel very comfortable with them, knowing that he would lower his guard.

Which it appears he did.

Throughout all of this "classified info" stuff, I cannot help but look back at those photos taken by the Russian photographer that shows an effusively happy Pres Trump.

The Russians knew exactly what they were doing, and played Pres Trump like a fiddle.

I would accept this demand from a member of the appropriate committee as a means of providing oversight.

Schumer's intentions are purely partisan.

I agree it is BS. The American people won't trust him even if the unedited transcript shows nothing - and rightfully so.

Hahaha! That's cute.

"The Senate intelligence committee has reached out to the White House to request additional information on recent reports about alleged dissemination of intelligence information," Becca Watkins, a spokeswoman for Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr, told CNN.

You can start accepting it now. What else you got?

I do accept it. Unlike the last 8 years where all calls for congressional oversight were labeled racist, congress really is supposed to act as a check against the Executive, even when POTUS is a Democrat.

If it were a President Hillary Clinton that did this you guys would be losing your minds, saying our national security was compromised and that she couldn't be trusted to do her job.

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Tuesday he wanted any transcripts of Trump's meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other Russian officials to be provided to the intelligence committee.

Unlike the last 8 years where all calls for congressional oversight were labeled racist, congress really is supposed to act as a check against the Executive, even when POTUS is a Democrat.

Haha. You're so cute.

No no, he's right. We have no doubt he can't handle it. And after the transcript, it likely won't change.

Yeah, all the investigations of Benghazi were labeled as racist.

Here's how Chuck should have asked:
"Wow! You met with the Russians! That's great! Did you put them in their place? Those guys have no clue--they're losers! What did you say to them? Did they try to argue with you? Tell me more!"

Trump would have opened up like [...]

You might be right. Schumer needs to learn how to get to Trump. He's gotta sweet-talk him. Make him get all warm and creamy...

"You have the best meetings, Mr. President. The very best. I'll bet those Russian guys were in awe, standing in that room with you. Knowing they were finally talking in the flesh with you, mano a mano with Donald J. Trump, the man with the biggest landslide victory in at least a thousand years, the duly elected President of the United States, the man who beat Hillary like a drum -- and all the pundits too, all the fake news liars with their smarmy questions, damn them! And I apologize for digressing for a moment, but may I just say congratulations again on your election victory, sir. Well done! And those crowds -- the biggest!

"So here were these Russian guys, and I know, they work for Vladimir, and some people don't like him, but I don't have to tell you, Mr. President, that Vlad is all right, if you know how to connect with him. And you know that, sir. You know how to talk to somebody like Vladimir Putin, am I right? Of course you do. You wrote The Art of the Deal, for crying out loud! You're a negotiator above all else, a business man with no equal. So these guys are standing there in total awe, in America, with you, in the Oval Office. My God! The energy you must have felt, the adrenaline, the confidence, knowing what you know! I bet it was eating them alive, knowing how well-informed you were but wondering if you were going to let them in on any of it! But you made a deal with them, didn't you, sir? They had to promise not to divulge anything beyond Vladimir himself, right? And maybe they also had to man up. To go back home and help shake loose a few rubles so you could build a few hotels and golf courses, am I right? Because you deserve it! Because you're the best!

"So tell me how it went. When did you know for sure that you had really, really impressed them? I'd like to listen to the whole tape. It must be really something to see or hear you operate!"

This is so fun to watch! The libs are going nuts over another non story that has been so over blown its amusing. I'm watching MSNBC and its better than SNL. In two days they will be tweaking out over the next BS non crisis.

So you don't see anything wrong with the president allowing russian state media in the room while he divulges classified information to them that he does not make available to our own congress?

Putin said he has "transcripts" of that meeting that he would gladly turn over to the US.

Maybe it was a translation error but how on earth would Putin have "transcripts" unless it was recorded?

By Russia.

In other words...Russia bugged the Oval office?

Sad!

What's the typical executive response? Executive Privilege

Too often used, but I wouldn't be surprised.

following reports that Trump shared highly classified information with the two men. ..

This is classic, it went from classified yesterday to highly classified today when in reality Trump shared "facts."

This information was highly classified because the revelation of even the part that Trump revealed could "out" a spy in ISIS.
