At noon, Donald Trump will sign an executive order calling for a probe whether imports of foreign-made steel are hurting U.S. national security. The order will revive a decades-old, rarely used law to explore imposing new barriers on steel imports, in this case aimed loosely at China.

Trump will sign the memorandum related to section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 at an event in the White House that will include leadersd of several U.S. steel companies; the law will allow the president to impose restrictions on imports for reasons of national security. Trump's directive will ask Ross to conduct the probe "with all deliberate speed and deliver the results to the president with his recommendations."

No it couldn't.

We import half of our steel Snoofy. Making it a strategic resource means we could produce 100% of our steel domestically. That means real, high paying jobs for Americans (the kind you hate).

What exactly has Trump done correctly in your opinion?

You know, besides placing another Scalia on the bench?

He's muffed everything he's tried and reversed course on 90 percent of his campaign rhetoric... and is fast becoming a War President.

Yawn. Hillary was an even bigger war president - she wanted to bomb all of Assads air bases, not just hit one with cruise missles. And that would have led to war with Russia.

I don't expect Trump to magically end illegal immigration before the wall is build (but he's done a good job so far) or to bring back jobs until a tariffs bill is passed (I hear that will be in August), but one thing is for sure - you are too quick to judge.

Yawn. Hillary blah blah blah...

Shut up.

Who cares about Hillary.

She's as relevant as Mitt Romney. And honestly. Who the hell cares about that two time loser.

Stop making excuses for Donnie Dump and hold him accountable for being a ---- up.

Bad headline. All this order does is start a probe, little else.

Just another "signing ceremony" then off to Myra Lego!

"Making it a strategic resource means we could produce 100% of our steel domestically."

Forbidding the import of steel would by definition mean we produce all our steel domestically.

This wouldn't create jobs though. Any gains in steel would be more than offset by losses in other businesses that consume the much more expensive steel.

There are industies that are worth protecting, because they are unique. Steel isn't one of them, just like coal isn't one of them. Though both have a high tech metallurgical angle worth protecting. The rest is just recycled scrap and digging up dirt, anyone can do that, for less money than Americans.

Trump is one of the least productive Presidents in history.

Obama passed the stimulus package in less than 30 days.

Lil hands Donnie can't even repeal Obamacare. His signature hateful promise.

Trumpsters must be so proud.

Sad.

Don't forget Donner...he uhhhh....uhhhh....uhhhh....

Nominated a judge that the Heritage Foundation handpicked for him that had to be confirmed by destroying the rules of the Senate by a group of old men who refused to do their job for an entire year.

And he played golf 20% of the time.

Such a legacy.

- that would have led to war with Russia.

Yeah, right. Russia would take us on over Syria. You need to lower your helium consumption.

"Yawn. Hillary was an even bigger war president"
H-rat

Hillary wasn't president but yes she is a warmonger.

This executive order is doing nothing more than calling for a probe on imports... you know, a probe... like the probe he's given his supporters over the last 4 months.

That coupled with him beating war drums makes me wish Hillary would have got elected. That bitch right there knows how to kill some people. I'd feel a lot safer for sure.

Either way I do not support war. I support defense of my country's boarders.

Doubling the cost of steel needed for the wall? Maybe this is another paper tiger.

Doubling the cost of steel needed for the wall?

Nope... the wall is made of --------, not steel.
