Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The Democratic National Committee announced on Sunday that Hillary Clinton's campaign had turned over its email list, giving the party a major boost as it rebuilds under a new chair and prepares for the midterm elections next year and the 2020 presidential race. The list, provided as an in-kind contribution from the Hillary for America campaign organization, includes more than 10 million new names that the DNC did not have on its voter files, according to both Clinton and DNC aides. ... The decision to turn over the email list -- in addition to providing the DNC with its analytics and voter modeling tools -- fulfills a campaign promise that Clinton made. ... Clinton's email list will allow the party and its state affiliates to more effectively target voters in the lead-up to the 2018 midterms. But the party still does not have the crown jewel of email lists: that collected by Sen. Bernie Sanders' 2016 campaign, which has the names of millions of individuals who do not associate with the Democratic Party and were brought into the political process largely because of their affinity for the independent Vermont senator.

I say, with absolutely no sarcasm, the best way to turn off independent Sanders voters to the DNC is to have the DNC hound these people with mailers and robo-calls. The ONLY way to lure them is by nominating a genuine liberal to be the candidate in 2020.

It won't happen. Trump was a "one off" according to the resident Minister of Disinfo.

Nope, the plan is to hold hands and scream "Hate Trump".

Tulsi Gabbard is the only principled candidate that is worth anything at this point. You can tell she is a real threat with the way the mainstream democrats are trying to bury her.

Gillibrand is a windsock. She's a perfect representation of everything that is wrong with the DNC...which is probably why she'll be the nominee.

I imagine, with the vitriolic hatred of Hillary, that no self-identifying Bernie supporter would have been on a HRC email list, so you don't have to worry about them...

If you actually want Bernie Sanders to be nominated and win in 2020, you need the DNC to be strong and capable.

Politics isn't just about choosing a good candidate and expecting people to flock to that person.

It's also about knocking on doors, making calls and getting out the vote. Things you call hounding.

DNC might as well have her email list. The Russians and Republicans already have it.

The House and Senate appears to be the primary target right now. If the DNC can swing that, Trump's impeachment party won't be far behind.

The FBI and the CIA are circling the wagons as we speak and their evidence file is getting fatter by the minute.

The House and Senate appears to be the primary target right now. If the DNC can swing that, Trump's impeachment party won't be far behind.

The Dems in the House would need a 45 seat swing by 2020 to pull that off, difficult, but not impossible.

The Senate, however, is a different story. In 2018, 23 Dem seats are up, 2 Indy that caucus with the Dems and 9 GOP seats. Of those seats, 10 Dem seats are in play, 1 Indy and 2 GOP seats are also up for grabs. Of those 10 Dem seats, 8 are in states that Trump won handily. For the Dems to get the Senate, they need all of their incumbents to win, for the Indys to win and for the GOP to lose almost half their seats in 2018. Probably not going to happen.

In 2020, the tables are turned, with 22 GOP seats and 11 Dem seats up. It's too early for anyone to forecast what may happen, but if the Dems hold in 2018 then their 2020 outlook is much better. If they actually lose a few seats then you may want to cancel those invitations.

Turning over Hillary's email list is like the Falcon's passing along their Super Bowl play book.

Funny, this thing has been dragging on for nearly a year because they can't find any evidence. But you can keep using the Russians as an excuse for your epic loss.

This is theater. The DNC already had Hillary's email list. They were connected at the hip, remember? Conspired to screw Bernie? That whole tawdry episode that Democrats don't like talking about around liberals?

I hope that the Dems nominate Alec Baldwin for president and that he dresses up like Trump for all the debates.
