Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, March 18, 2017

The Pleasant Run Elementary students had just won a robotics challenge at Plainfield High School, and the students -- new to bot competition this year -- were one step closer to the Vex IQ State Championship. The team is made up of 9- and 10-year-olds. Two are African American and three are Latino. "Go back to Mexico!" two or three kids screamed at their brown-skin peers and their parents, according to some who were there.

Is this supposed to be Trump's fault?

Remember when kids where getting "--------"? You know, because of Bill Clinton.

Those sure were the days of "conservative" principles

#2 Nope. Trump is the GOPs fault.

Children are messages we leave to a time we will never see.

"This verbal attack had spilled over from the gymnasium. While the children were competing, one or two parents disparaged the Pleasant Run kids with racist comments -- and loud enough for the Pleasant Run families to hear."

So it wasn't just one or two of the kids, it was also parents. And then they met them in the parking lot. Jesus Christ you Comb-Over Caligula apologists disgust me. These are kids from a poor part of town living the American dream by overcoming poverty to win against kids who have a lot more advantages. Rather than applauding them, these racist, entitled bastards pull this BS, and you alt-right nationalists applaud, or at least minimize it.

I don't remember this many acts of overt racism at school events before this last election cycle. THIS IS THE NEW NORMAL UNDER Adult Diaper Donnie, you --------- should be so proud.

These kids are represent the talent that America needs to thrive in the future. Hurling hurtful insults towards another race didn't accomplish anything. Those offering insults were upset because they weren't as talented. I for one hope these kids keep winning.

The Mexican kids will laugh last when their robots take all the redneck jobs that their parents didn't.

Sad thing is they represent the need for foreign workers. American ingenuity and overall ability is deteriorating fast and being replaced by the idea that because we are Americans, we no longer have to fight for that exceptionalism, that it is our birth right.

Please people, I am a latino living in Los Angeles for 50+ years. This is nothing new.

For Christ's sake, we are talking about insults hurled by children who should know better. Not adults who do and continue anyway.

Would it have happened without trump? - #15 | Posted by SpeakSoftly at 2017-03-20 11:16 AM
Are you trying to claim that prior to Trump running for office there was no obvious bigotry in the world? Maybe some historical research would do you well.

Kind of have mixed feelings on the best way to react to this.

On the one hand, how hurt the kids are by this is going to be at least partially dependent on how the adults around them react. Making this into a huge deal and the kids out to be helpless victims is just going to make the kids feel worse about it. So part of me thinks the best thing that could have happened would be for the adults involved to just dismiss the "go back to Mexico" taunts as sour grapes coming from classless sore losers. Move on quickly and don't make a big deal out of it so the kids don't dwell on it.

On the other hand, you don't want to teach the kids to accept this kind of BS either and you can't hold people accountable without making an issue of their behavior first.

I lean towards the former but I can understand the desire to call out these dirtbags too.

No I'm claiming that trump's rise made bigots feel that their bigotry was justified and no longer needed to be hidden. The fish rots from the head down.

After trump's "grab em by the ----- comment" my fiance was jogging and an audi full of young men rolled down the window and yelled "grab her by the -----!".

Are you telling me that would have happened if trump were never born? Yes those men would still be --------, but would they have felt they could be loud and proud about it and still succeed in life?

Okay, so what's your next excuse for racism?

#18- "An Audi full of young men."

That is comedy gold right there.
