Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, March 14, 2017

Last week, the White House tried to avoid giving further life to President Trump's stunning and unsupported allegation that President Obama ordered surveillance of him last year. And when Wikileaks posted new documents claiming to expose surveillance tactics available to the intelligence community, the White House steadfastly refused to confirm their validity, in keeping with longstanding U.S. policy about keeping spying operations secret. In the space of a few seconds, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway appeared to undo both administration objectives.

"There are many ways to surveil each other now, unfortunately," she said. "There was an article this week that talked about how you can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets, any number of different ways. And microwaves that turn into cameras, et cetera. So we know that that is just a fact of modern life."

Put another way, Conway gave credence to the documents published by Wikileaks in an attempt to back up the president's claim.

You could use microwave, but it would be difficult considering it's a point-to-point transmission device.

A Stingray device would work well in an urban environment for cell traffic.

However, the fiber that feeds Trump Tower, and every other building in NYC, flows through a restricted access room in the central office downtown. Inside that room are a series of routers, servers, disk arrays, and security appliances that vacuum up everything - including Trumps' calls.

Can someone tell me where the viewfinder is on my microwave?

#6 | Posted by danni at 2017-03-13 01:21 PM | Reply

G-d I hope not. One picture of me and it will shut down cooking food. Since you are so fat this microwave is unable to process your request for heating food at this time. Until you lose a lot of weight I no longer work.

Send them a screwdriver. It is clear that everyone in the White House has a screw loose.

She is correct and the left is wrong as usual. If an appliance has voice recognition, blue tooth, network connectivity, wi-fi, it is capable of spying. Some may have cameras like refrigerators for remote access. I have no doubt there are microwave appliances with this capability. Soon smart meters will know which and when appliances are used. Those who don't care if the government, your present or future employer, or the globalists etc know everything about you shouldn't mind.

What are the odds that Trump uses--or even knows how to use--a microwave? What are the odds that Trump goes into his Trump Tower kitchen?

Wow are you dumb. No one is saying that appliances can't be used. But the idea that a microwave was used to spy on Trump is ridiculous. The idea that the US Gov't used these devices to spy on Trump is ridiculous.

Go back to your basement.

I believe she confused microwave transmission devices with microwave ovens.

You laugh but a day is coming where everything electronic will be hooked u to a smart grid and if you aren't healthy your electronic devices won't work for you until you get healthy.

@#9 ... She is correct and the left is wrong as usual. ...

While she may be correct in what she said, it is irrelevant as she did not answer the question posed. She made a failed attempt to deflect the question into another area. A tactic she has used frequently in the past.

The fact that the Trump administration is so furiously back-pedaling and trying to distance themselves from Pres Trump's claim that fmr Pres Obama had the Trump Tower wire tapped should give one an idea of the veracity of Pres Trump's claim.

But they have apparently outsmarted gubment by posting the stupid ---- they think on the DR, every day, from the same location, using the same alias, etc., etc...

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) introduced S.J.Res 34, which would expand the Congressional Review Act to strip away privacy protections established in October by the Federal Communications Commission with broad bipartisan support.

You have no background in networking. The only way to transmit that much data is through a distributed network like the internet. There is no one place in NYC where all of the data goes to or goes through. In addition only traffic that travels across the internet without using a VPN would be vulnerable. Traffic between a user and a server within Trump Tower doesn't exist to the outside world. Phone traffic using VOIP through a VPN is secure. Most companies don't use the PSTN infrastructure anymore. It is insecure and does not allow the control you can get with VOIP
