Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The Jacksonville Jaguars promoted interim coach Doug Marrone to the job, hired former coach Tom Coughlin as executive vice president of football operations and extended general manager Dave Caldwell's contract by two more years. Here's a confidence builder from the local Florida Times-Union: "Who has control over the 90- and 53-man rosters is unclear."

At least it wasn't Chip Kelly. And Coughlin is a good hire for any position.

Whew. I was nervous that Bucs' DC Mike Smith (whom Jax allegedly interviewed for HC) would be poached by the Jags.

First Mike Mularkey and now Doug Marrone. The road to coaching the Jaguars goes through Buffalo and you have to quit after two seasons without getting fired.

I wanted Coughlin and he reportedly wanted Marrone, so I guess I should be happy. But who's in charge now?

Jalen Ramsey?

He had a good season, but Dallas is happy with their choice.

All too early prediction on the Jacksonville Jaguars upcoming season record:

I'm not sure I can recognize the Jags uniform/helmet or name any member of the organization.

So hopefully the new changes can bring them the fame that comes with success.
