Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, December 01, 2016

The Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom was begun in Los Angeles six years ago by Muslim and Jewish women to share their experiences as members of religious minorities in the U.S. Today there are chapters in more than 50 cities, part of a growing desire among Americans of both faiths to stand together. When California mosques received a threatening letter calling Muslims a "vile and filthy people" and saying that Donald Trump "is going to do to you Muslims what Hitler did to the jews [sic]," Jewish groups were among the first to reach out, said Ojaala Ahmad of the Council on Islamic Relations in Los Angeles. "More people have become aware of their common faiths given the rise of toxic anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic hate," said Haroon Moghul of the Center for Global Policy think tank.

Conservative Christians? Not so much.

Which leads to the question:
Which Mosque would Jesus burn?

Makes sense. After all, more than a decent percentage of the Quran is devoted to the honor and respect of several Jews, including Jesus, Mary, Moses and Joseph.

I learned that bit of pithy knowledge as a freshman in college while still under the assumption that life revolved around booze, broads and bling.

Kinda puts the a bit of a damper on the whole "Muslims wanna kill all the Jews" argument.

Jewish people have been at the forefront of extreme persecution based on religion. They know the pain and fear muslims are going through.

Good to see this.
As someone that hates "organized religion" it's good to see some potential good in coming together from folks of different faiths.

Surely you jest. Tell that to the many Syrian refugees that the bigoted Israelis (check to verify papers and Jewish only credentials at their checkpoints) and turned away from the Israeli borders. Instead of helping, they send them onward to Europe and USA to be taken care of by mostly deplorable gentiles.
