Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, December 01, 2016

Hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson was feeling happy Wednesday morning. After Donald Trump ridiculed Wall Street on the campaign trail, the President-elect tapped former Goldman Sachs Group executive Steven Mnuchin to be his Treasury secretary and billionaire investor Wilbur Ross to lead the Commerce Department. Trump even met with Goldman Sachs President Gary Cohn inside Trump Tower. It would suit Tilson just fine if voters who backed Trump because he promised to rein in Wall Street are furious now that he's surrounding himself with bankers and billionaires. "I can take glee in that -- I think Donald Trump conned them," said Tilson, who runs Kase Capital Management. "I worried that he was going to do crazy things that would blow the system up. So the fact that he's appointing people from within the system is a good thing."

Donald's decided to blow his supporters up. His loyalty to them lasted only until he was president-elect. Now all they are to him are a pack of losers who have served their purpose.

Cheetolini's history of using people to get what he wants then screwing them over should have been a warning to the Trumpings of his true nature. But they wanted to believe his -------- so badly they ignored everything in his history that indicated he was conning them.

So no defense of Trump's bait and switch? Just going to ignore that he's surrounding himself with bankers and wall street plutocrats?

Don't bother responding. You never do. You can't debate with someone when you've got nothing between your ears.

A little misleading. Mnuchin worked at Goldman a long time ago.. like 10 years ago. Darn fake news.

And so he also met with Carrier and will meet with China...Im not sure those talk are going to be as fun as they were the last 24 years...but lets try to imply that cause they talked to Goldman it means Trump sold out...after all inuendo without fact is not fake news right?

It's not INNUENDO that mr drain-the-swamp is surrounding himself with the same swamp-dwelling plutocrats that he promised to combat during the election, it's a fact.

It's going to take Trump voters a while to recognize that he's selling them out. Trump University students took a while too.

Let's see what Trump told voters about hedge fund managers before the election:

After his much-talked about attack on undocumented immigrants, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is now taking on hedge fund managers, vowing to reform the tax code to ensure they pay their fair share.

In a campaign marked by his now-trademark bombastic style, Trump called hedge fund managers "paper-pushers," and said he would seek to help the middle-class by lowering their tax burden.

"The hedge fund guys are getting away with murder. They're making a tremendous amount of money. They have to pay taxes. I want to lower the rates for the middle class. The middle class is the one, they're getting absolutely destroyed. This country doesn't have -- won't have a middle class very soon," Trump told CBS News.

Dear Chump voters, now you know why those hedge fund managers are laughing at you.

You are way too kind. In my nopinion they are whores every one of them. Because Trump voters run a wide gamut of possible personality types from the boohoo disenfranchised whiteys, racist extremists, or just decent people toeing the party line in my opinion they were/are all whores googooeyed over the Trumpass celebrity status they same as they were are over Reagoonietunes,Clint (talk to the Chair) Eastwood, Ahhhhhhnuld Schwartinnoodle and now the Trumphole.

They were told all throughout the past 18 months or so what the score with Trumphole was and it only made them hotter for him. They deserved to be screwed... they begged for it.

This very morning, Donald is dismissing critiques about how he violated his campaign promises in Indiana, by asserting that "Carrier" was just a "euphemism".

Euphemism for what, exactly, I haven't heard him say yet.

I am not sorry for anyone who voted for him. They invited a Dark Angel into their lives who is going to teach them what it feels like when things really get rough. I am sorry for we majority of Americans who had simple common sense, and knew better.

No one with any sense is laughing right now.

Dems deserve this for nominating a corporate stooge, but that does not erase the fact that there is now an unstable, insecure, ignorant, narcissistic, sociopathic egomaniac preparing to take the white house. Only nihilists would find that funny.

I did not vote for Trump.
I'm laughing at all of you.
Reps and Dems alike.

And yet you've said nothing negative about Trump.
Ever. Not that I can recall, and not that I can find in your post history. Speaking of which:

You have said:
"You lost.
It's time to try a different approach."
and
"tariffs are what will bring jobs back not begging."
and
"Hillary is to blame for this new found racism. "
(and LOTS more attacks - some seething - against Clinton and the Democrats)

But you defend Trump with things like:
"Trump is not the recipient of the funds, his corporation is."
and
"Trump is exposing horrible truths we were never meant to know."
and
"This election was always about "Identity Politics," Trump simply played the hand he was dealt and won with Inclusion not Exclusion."
and
"Just heard on the news there was a Craigslist add for demonstrators to protest a Trump property, Palos Verdes, (I believe) here in CA that was offering $35 an hour with a minimum of 10 hours and to bring signs and wear a red t-shirt.
Those are your heroes Corky."
(which was turned out to be a lie, BW - but there you were, propagating it)

Yet you told us all:
"I am a Santa Monica, Ca liberal Independent for all my years.
I did not vote for Trump or Hillary. I only voted down ticket, My vote does not matter on the national level."

And that's from only a few pages of your "post history." It's really difficult to take anything you say seriously.

America started going downhill about 40 years ago inversely with the increase in influence of the money players of Wall St, per "Inside Job" the 2009 Oscar winning documentary. Surprisingly certain ethno centric organizations didn't go after that movie as they went after OWS, and Trump, and as they like to use the media to attack average Americans that do recognize this. While they are not all of common ethnic backgrounds, a surprisingly high number are, and it is not coincidence or based on competence. It turns out that this relationship is not at all beneficial to greater society. Being aware of and opposed to those doing the self enrichment, screwing and benefiting at the expense of the many is called self preservation.
