Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, November 30, 2016

Donald Trump is considering tapping former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as his secretary of Veterans Affairs, according to two Trump transition sources. Palin was an early endorser of Trump, throwing her support to him before the Iowa caucuses, making her one of his highest profile backers at the time. Among her chief competitors for the Veterans Affairs post, according to one transition source, is former Sen. Scott Brown, another relatively early Trump backer.

You can be smart about some things and a moron about everything else. Trump's only skill is manipulating morons.

I didn't even mention her kids, I focused on the fact that she can't construct a grammatically correct sentence made of coherent thoughts. But that's a great point - she wants to tell us all how to live our lives when she can't even run her own family. Having a ------ daughter is one thing, but when you then want to require abstinence-only education and cutting off birth control, you've gone from being a sympathetic mother to being a stupid flaming hypocrite.

The fact that she made money after losing the election doesn't mean she's smart, it means the republican base is stupid.

And she's a quitter too. Being governor of a state wasn't good enough after she tasted fox news pundit fame. Who wants to actually do work fixing things when you can just be a professional whiner and make more money?

In my perspective as a Johnson voter I find it amusing. Continue on your present course, the way to change people's minds and to get them to listen to your argument is to insult them. The DNC doesn't seem to have learned a thing by the drumming they received November 8 . Today they elected Nancy minority leader of the house. A woman who's description includes terms such as Bat guano crazy, as out of touch as the long dead, and probity could not get elected any where but San Francisco. Her hatred for any one not in lock step with her is abundantly obvious. The only time she reaches across the isle is to stab a member of the opposition. If she really believed what she says, I could have a little respect for her, but like her support for unions, it great for anyone but her husband's businesses to organize. Then all the union sympathizers and prospects get fired. Hell she could teach Henry Ford a thing or two about union busting.

NYT: The Health Care Waiting Game - Long Waits for Doctors' Appointments Have Become the Norm

www.nytimes.com

By ELISABETH ROSENTHALJULY 5, 2014

... there is emerging evidence that lengthy waits to get a doctor's appointment have become the norm in many parts of American medicine, particularly for general doctors but also for specialists. And that includes patients with private insurance as well as those with Medicaid or Medicare.

Merritt Hawkins, a physician staffing firm, found long waits last year when it polled five types of doctors' offices about several types of nonemergency appointments including heart checkups, visits for knee pain and routine gynecologic exams. The waits varied greatly by market and specialty.

For example, patients waited an average of 29 days nationally to see a dermatologist for a skin exam, 66 days to have a physical in Boston and 32 days for a heart evaluation by a cardiologist in Washington.

The Commonwealth Fund, a New York-based foundation that focuses on health care, compared wait times in the United States to those in 10 other countries last year. "We were smug and we had the impression that the United States had no wait times -- but it turns out that's not true," said Robin Osborn, a researcher for the foundation.

"It's the primary care where we're really behind, with many people waiting six days or more" to get an appointment when they were "sick or needed care."

The study found that 26 percent of 2,002 American adults surveyed said they waited six days or more for appointments, better only than Canada (33 percent) and Norway (28 percent), and much worse than in other countries with national health systems like the Netherlands (14 percent) or Britain (16 percent).

When it came to appointments with specialists, patients in Britain and Switzerland reported shorter waits than those in the United States, but the United States did rank better than the other eight countries.

So it turns out that America has its own waiting problem.

How the Koch Network Exploited the Veterans Affairs Crisis - From the beginning, the Koch brothers were exploiting troubles at VA hospitals to weaken Obamacare and attack Democrats.

www.thenation.com

Though the group doesn't disclose its donors, it has for a long while been clear the group is funded in part, or perhaps even in full, by the Koch brothers. Any remaining doubt can now be erased thanks to audio from the secretive Koch donor retreat this summer, obtained by The Undercurrent and reported here.

Hegseth addressed the crowd and not only confirmed that the Koch network "literally created" CVA but explained giddily "the central role that Concerned Veterans for America played in exposing and driving this crisis from the very beginning."

Most notably, during his roughly ten-minute speech, Hegseth outlined how the group was turning legitimate grievances over Veterans Affairs care into a political weapon to attack both the Obama administration and the idea of government-provided healthcare.

George Soros admitted to working with the Nazis during a "60 Minutes" interview. The man's own words should be credible evidence that he was a little Hitlerite as a --------, helping confiscate Jew property:

KROFT: (Voiceover) To understand the complexities and contradictions in his personality, you have to go back to the very beginning: to Budapest, where George Soros was born 68 years ago to parents who were wealthy, well-educated and Jewish.
When the Nazis occupied Budapest in 1944, George Soros' father was a successful lawyer. He lived on an island in the Danube and liked to commute to work in a rowboat. But knowing there were problems ahead for the Jews, he decided to split his family up. He bought them forged papers and he bribed a government official to take 14-year-old George Soros in and swear that he was his Christian godson. But survival carried a heavy price tag. While hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews were being shipped off to the death camps, George Soros accompanied his phony godfather on his appointed rounds, confiscating property from the Jews.
KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.
Mr. SOROS: Yes. Yes.
KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.
Mr. SOROS: Yes. That's right. Yes.
KROFT: I mean, that's -- that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?
Mr. SOROS: Not -- not at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child you don't -- you don't see the connection. But it was -- it created no -- no problem at all.
KROFT: No feeling of guilt?
Mr. SOROS: No.

I'm touched that so many of our little radical "progressive" friends are so concerned with the well-being of the veterans. I can tell that they want the best person to run the V.A. and want to be sure they receive the best treatment possible.

"A Navy veteran with two young children had his home vandalized with anti-Trump graffiti and racial slurs both inside and out before it was set on fire in yet another shocking example of the anti-Trump hate crime wave sweeping America." Maybe they should push for Hillary to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs...she certainly ain't gonna be POTUS so our little friends might be satisfied with the job. I'm sure all vets really love her.

"Meanwhile, so-called hate crimes blamed on Trump supporters, the majority of which turned out to be completely fake, have received ample news coverage.
This attack once again highlights the fact that leftists, while preaching "tolerance" and "diversity," are the most intolerant people you could ever meet, and cannot stand diversity of opinion, lashing out against it with abuse and violence on a regular basis."

Soros not feeling bad about it says quite a bit. Even for the sake of PR he could have said "I don't because..." I'd assume it's because he had to do what he had to do, but who knows.

Soros was a 15 year old kid who understood his life and his family's life were in peril ... you trying to paint him as a Nazi or a Nazi collaborator responsible for Jews dying in the Holocaust is simply lame.

The Kochs were raised by a German nanny who was a Nazi symathizer who went back to Nazi Germany right before the war started so she could be a part of what was happening ... that makes the Koch Brothers Nazis, right?

Were the Koch brothers going around personally evicting Jews and confiscating their personal property?

Because George Soros was, back in his Young Nazi days. Soros doesn't even show remorse in interviews about those days where he helped usher Jews onwards toward their fates in concentration camps.

The sickest part is the "no remorse or guilt" aspect of George Soros' interview. He could have at least pretended to not be a psychopath when partaking in national interviews.

He's also on record as saying he feels no guilt about the work he did for Nazis.

Hell, I feel guilt over lousy things I did as a ten year old.

I gave your video a few minutes ... who cares.

What's disturbing is all the hateful comments that people posted below the video. That's about 40% of America right there -- hate, spiked with an antisemitic overtones and pseudo-death threats.

But you're an American who at the age of ten thought that not stopping at McDonald's or Chucky Cheese was the end of the world as you knew it -- see the difference?

While their Nazi symathizer nanny was filling their heads with propaganda, Mr. Koch was in cahoots with the Nazis in helping build an oil refinery in Germany that Adolf Hitler personally greenlighted.

So that makes the Kochs Nazis, right?

He basically outsmarted the entire political establishment and won the presidency.

Ummmm no. He just tapped into American voter's stupidity. Shamelessly.

And are you still claiming he's outside the establishment?

#51 | Posted by SpeakSoftly, They learned the craft of false narrative form cherry picking facts from examples on the left. The left learned it from Woodrow Wilson's propaganda chief,George Creel and the Committee on Public Information. They did such a splendid job an even bigger thug a named named Goebbels used his book on manipulating public opinion to get the Nazis control of the German government.

And do your loyalties align with George Soros, who assisted in the evictions and property confiscations of neighborhood Jews?

He was 2 when the Nazi's took over. He was 15 when Berlin fell.

First, follow your own advice. Soros, self-admittedly, was helping round up Jews at the ripe age of fourteen.

"The sickest part is the "no remorse or guilt" aspect of George Soros' interview. He could have at least pretended to not be a psychopath when partaking in national interviews."

So easy for you, from the safety of America, to say Soros should feel guilt for surviving the Holocaust any way he could. You're truly sick.

#75 | Posted by danni at 2016-12-02 12:12 PM | Reply

Why isn't George Soros serving a life term in jail alongside his fellow colleagues from the Nazi regime? Oh right, he is a billionaire political donor to democrats.

Gonoles wants to punish Soros for things he did in order to survive the holocaust as a young teenager but is fine with the things Donald Trump did, as an adult, to keep his building of apartments lilly white. Soros did the things he did in the 40's, Trump did the things he did in the 70's.

George Soros' father was a wealthy lawyer who lived on a private island and paid off a government employee to take in George and teach George the ways of Nazism.

George Soros' actions led to Jews being hauled off to concentration camps. I choose to dislike George Soros, while Danni holds the former Nazi as one of her personal heroes.

Do you believe you have some legitimate proof for that?

George Soros' own words and description of his work for the Nazis during a taping of award winning journalism program "60 Minutes," linked twice above, in previous comments on this issue.

Can any Soros supporter spin "eviction and property confiscation of Jews" in a way which does not equate with Jews forcefully coerced from homes and sent to concentration camps?

What bothers me about Soros is his self described belief that he is a god. An amoral, conscience free god. Nothing he has done bothers him in the slightest. He has warrants on him across half the planet. Off the top of my head, Thailand, Hungary, Russia, France, Indonesia, England(board of inquiry). There is a reason he no longer travels outside the United States.
