Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, November 29, 2016

A woman shopping at a Michaels arts and crafts store in Chicago went on a tirade against two black employees after she was offered a $1 reusable bag at checkout, yelling at workers and employees for over 10 minutes. The woman proclaimed herself a Donald Trump voter and said she was being racially discriminated against by a black store manager and another employee. "Yes, I voted for Trump, so there. You want to kick me out because of that? And look who won," she declared at one point, even though no one but her was talking about the election. She confronted a woman filming her meltdown and said, "Why don't you go home to your husband who's cheating on you."

My favorite quote.

"This woman [the cashier] screamed at me across the [expletive] store like an animal ... you're an animal ... I told you as the manager to reprimand ... Michael is going to hear about this first thing Friday morning."

Michaels founder Michael J. Dupey died in 2010.

After the incident went viral, another video was posted of the same woman flipping out at Peet's Coffee:

False Flag? Was that sarcasm?

Oh most definitely.

will be blaming Trump for everything from their jock itch to their erectile dysfunction.

So you're denying some people have taken this past 6 month's events as validation for their perceived grievances against the world?

Somehow this women thought she was being discriminated against and the first thing that jumped to her mind was that she voted for Trump as if it was relevant.

Why?

What a meltdown. She was so out of her mind she told one woman her husband cheats on her and talked about another's father being dead. Then after yelling at a half-dozen other amused customers she called someone up and yelled at them too.

No one was making it about Trump until she did. Just like it wasn't racial until she kept making the workers' race an issue.

Trump won and some of his voters have never been more miserable.

Kentucky counties with highest Medicaid rates backed Matt Bevin, who plans to cut Medicaid

And now they are worried:

BOONEVILLE -- The 66 percent of Owsley County that gets health coverage through Medicaid now must reconcile itself with the 70 percent that voted for Republican Governor-elect Matt Bevin, who pledged to cut the state's Medicaid program and close the state-run Kynect health insurance exchange.

Lisa Botner, 36, belongs to both camps. A Kynector -- a state agent representing Kynect in the field -- recently helped Botner sign up for a Wellcare Medicaid card for herself and her 7-year-old son. Without that, Botner said, she couldn't afford the regular doctor's visits and blood tests needed to keep her hyperthyroidism in check.

"If anything changed with our insurance to make it more expensive for us, that would be a big problem," Botner, a community college student, said Friday at the Owsley County Public Library, where she works. "Just with the blood tests, you're talking maybe $1,000 a year without insurance."

Yet two weeks earlier, despite his much-discussed plans to repeal Kynect and toughen eligibility requirements for Medicaid, she voted for Bevin.

"I'm just a die-hard Republican," she said.

You understand of course the farm subsidies purpose is to lower the cost of food right?
It's not for the farmer, it's for the consumer. I people paid what the market could demand no subsidies would be necessary.

Taxpayers Turn U.S. Farmers Into Fat Cats With Subsidies

A Depression-era program intended to save American farmers from ruin has grown into a 21st-century crutch enabling affluent growers and financial institutions to thrive at taxpayer expense.

Federal crop insurance encourages farmers to gamble on risky plantings in a program that has been marred by fraud and that illustrates why government spending is so difficult to control.

And the cost is increasing. The U.S. Department of Agriculture last year spent about $14 billion insuring farmers against the loss of crop or income, almost seven times more than in fiscal 2000, according to the Congressional Research Service.

The arrangement is a good deal for everyone but taxpayers. The government pays 18 approved insurance companies to run the program, pays farmers to buy coverage and pays the bills if losses exceed predetermined limits.

I didn't create the facts. They're were posted on eberly's link. I can find it and paste it here if you'd like.

California is the largest agricultural producer in America.

It's all done in central California.

Not too sure about the water there. It may come from Northern California. I doubt it's a desert like Southern California.

It would be incredibly inefficient to create farmlands in areas without naturally available water.

Though. The whole state is in a severe drought. So. I'm really not too sure about water.

Or the future of agricultural in California.

Central California is essentially a dust bowl. The ground is fertile, but there is no water. Driving down on I5, you see signs blaming Boxer, Pelosi and Democrats for creating the dust bowl...because "Congress created the water shortage." Seriously.

LA is a desert city. NorCal doesn't like SoCal for a lot of reasons, but water is a big one. Millions of people with swimming pools and golf courses and green lawns living in a desert is not sustainable when there's a drought. Storm's a brewing.
