Rcade, is it possible Boaz is one of those forwarding false news on purpose?

CNN Probably Did Not Actually Show Porn Thanksgiving Night

Widespread reports that 30 minutes of porn aired Thanksgiving evening on CNN are hilarious, but there's not much proof of this happening. RCN Boston Senior Vice President Jeff Carlson said on Friday there was no evidence anything went wrong with the broadcast.

"Regarding the reported incident involving CNN in Boston, RCN has no evidence this occurrence took place on the CNN feed. We have not had any other reports of this incident other than this single customer's tweet," Carlson said in a statement. "Our review of network operations and our call center phone logs during the last evening show no indications that this impacted any other customer than the one single customer. Only a technical review of the individual's equipment involved could ascertain how this might have occurred. We've confirmed that this one customer's account is in proper working order."

The single tweet that set off the craze came from user @solikearose, who posted around 10:30 p.m. that CNN was airing porn instead of Anthony Bourdain's "Parts Unknown." It's highly unlikely that if porn was blasting out at the entire city of Boston Thanksgiving evening, only one person would report the problem.

No, I don't think Boaz intentionally posted a fake story, but this ish needs to stop immediately. Posters should make sure their information is reliably sourced unless it is being presented as an opinion of the person responsible for the publication of the information in the first place. It really isn't that hard.

If you google this, there's a lot of "probably's" and "maybe's".

It's not clear if this happened or not...

Actually Boaz, your headline is correct based on known facts. One person has claimed to see porn on CNN and that is consistent with the word "someone".

But the fact not a single other person contacted the cable provider or made any social media comment about the alleged event other than @sokikearose does tell us something too: It likely didn't happen to anyone else.

Right, and the idea is to report it after it's been confirmed.
I do agree with the Righties in that the American media sucks. It's all due to capitalism and profits, but they would never admit that.

From the article:

"...the original CNN spokesperson did not return emails or phone calls."

Most probably because that person doesn't exist, and never did.
