Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, October 16, 2016

One of the most respected election handicappers in the country says the presidential race between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is now "over," with victory assured for Clinton, the Democratic nominee. "Take a close look at the new Fox News poll," tweeted Charlie Cook, publisher of the Cook Political Report. "This race is OVER." Cook has a reputation for cautious, non-partisan analysis, and he's frequently consulted by both political parties. His call on the presidential race late Thursday night caused an immediate stir on social media. Asked by The Hill to explain what it was about the Oct. 13 Fox News poll that caused him to declare the race over, Cook said it was a number of factors. "Poll was devastating for Trump, from start to finish," Cook said via email on Friday. "Trial heats, favorable/unfavorable, candidate attributes, trust on handling issues, role model for children -- all horrific for Trump."

Good. Now people can concentrate on giving the Green and Libertarian parties the 5% necessary to get funding and easier ballot access, without hearing the whining of hyperpartisan hacks...right?

Let em whine. I'll proudly pull the Libertarian lever in a few weeks. If after his horrible run Trump still wins don't blame me blame Hillary. If she can't defeat a candidate who seems intent on self-destructing without my vote then that is not on the voters who go third party, that is on her.

It's all over but the shooting. Trump has his acolytes in such a lather that some gun freak somewhere will have to be taken down for making threats to HRC upon her election. Watch for it...

Of course it is. This is the math of one's
civic duty in a two person race system to vote in such a way that is best for the country, not the way that makes you feel the best.

It's funny how tightly some cling to this nonsense.

There are other candidates that voters can choose. Just because they don't have a shot at winning doesn't mean they aren't candidates.

And if Hillary can't persuade people to vote for her instead of a third party candidate then her loss is in fact on her.

Honestly.

For anyone paying attention.

The election ended in June.

After the democratic primary.

Trump's grand parade was never meant to get him elected

Well ya know its not over until its over... BUUUUUTTTTT.....Gotta love it that the main stream media that the Trumpette used with such alacrity to win the primary turned out to be the thing that brought about the demise of his political aspirations. It has been like watching a train wreckhappeningin sloooowwww motion... and I have to compassion for those being taken out by the experience.

That remark and the train of thought that adheres to it belongs right up there with the system is rigged and the cacophony of conspiracy bull$#!+... it is the whine of the Clownbrigade and Berniebots refusing to acknowledge that HRC could win it fair and square in the political paradigm...all I have to say about that level of stupid... is screw all of you and the pogo sticks you hopped in on.

Better lower you sights, Nulli, and aim for either of them reaching 1 %. Johnson may, Stein won't be anywhere that.

I suspect she didn't win fair and square. Matter of fact. There are leaked emails alluding she didn't win "fair and square".

And. Before you cry misogyny.

I don't believe BushJr won his elections fair and square either.

#7 On a thread about how it's all wrapped up you still have to go on and on about the only 2 parties crap. If it was looking even close I would suck it up and vote Hillary because Trump is that bad but with him imploding faster than America can say "You're Fired" there is no need to vote against Trump.

I suppose if every potential 3rd party voter said ok she'll win anyway and voted their conscience then it might be enough to swing it but even that is unlikely with Hillary having double digit leads and all other parties combined not polling 10% even that won't make a difference.

#20 | Posted by TaoWarrior at 2016-10-16 09:17 PM | Reply

-Just because they don't have a shot at winning doesn't mean they aren't candidates.

A vote for them can, in some circumstances, be a vote for the very worst candidate. That's the math.

In some circumstances yes Nader 2000 arguably made a difference, Perot in 1992 almost certainly gave Clinton the election. So sure it can make a difference.

2016 Hillary looks to carry 110 more electoral votes than required even if 3rd parties swung 2 states she would still win. So why stress about a few internet rando's who think maybe building a third party would be good for this country.

aw the Clownsnack still has some boohoos all saved up. Guess what? There is nothing in the emails worth worrying about... but the bots love yammering as if there was.

If Bernie could not overcome what ever was slung his direction as HRC has done with the thrty years of smarm thrown her way... he surely could not have stood up to ooey gooey Trumphole.

You talking about the guy who couldn't care less about the presidency?

And has had one scandal after another emerge about him?

And comes off as a moron at the debates?

Hillary should thank god every night Bill convinced Donnie to run.

Otherwise she wouldn't have a prayer of winning the election.

#25 | Posted by ClownShack at 2016-10-16 11:49 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Hillary is going to win.

So maybe its time for the media to start doing its job again instead of acting as her army of spin doctors.

To put it mildy, she's a person who has a tenuous relationship wih the truth, a love affair with secrecy and a strong aversion to regulations. It probably isn't a great idea to continue to gloss over her shady dealings as she prepares to take over the presidency.

A president is not supposed to be beyond accountability and it will be a very bad thing for all of us if the media continues to act as a massive PR department for Hillary during her presidency.

This race simply shows Democrats still view a man by the color of his skin. And they hate orange-colored folk. Look at how they treat Donald. Look at how they treated Boehner.

Oh wait, that was the GOP.

"Perot in 1992 almost certainly gave Clinton the election. So sure it can make a difference."

Tao-- studies have shown that this is a myth. There is no "almost certainly" about it.

Deadseasquirel... That is a myth the clowns love to blather.

What Perot DID make clear was how businessmen should never be allowed to run for president. That big eared ----- dropped out because "someone threaten to accuse his daughter of being a lesbian and ruin her wedding" which loosely translates into "he figured out he didnt have a chance of winning " and his ego would not let him admit it .

Eventually after the impressive economic success of Clinton the clowns decided to show us what for and did put a business man in charge of the country in order to run it like a business...and we all know how well that went.

Bush has an MBA from Harvard. The loved his plain speech shooting from the hip style too.

It flat out amazes me how the clowns love a candidate which chronic foot in mouth disease.
