Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

A day after autocratic Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he had "no doubt" Donald Trump would make a strong leader, the Republican nominee returned the favor, praising Sisi as a "fantastic guy." Sitting down with Fox Business' Lou Dobbs, Trump touted the "chemistry" the two politicians shared during a special meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly Monday. "I thought it was very productive. He's a fantastic guy," Trump said of Sisi. "I thought it was a great meeting. We met for a long time, actually. There was a good chemistry there. You know when you have good chemistry with people. There was a good feeling between us."

Trump also praised the foreign leader's handling of the Egyptian coup d'etat of 2013 that removed former President Mohamed Morsi from power. "He took control of Egypt. And he really took control of it," Trump said.

Incredible, the Next President of America is generating world-wide excitement from international leaders! It was only a few months ago that we were discussing how Donald Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, possibly he will earn one when he assists in bringing peace to the middle East! :)

All aboard the Trump Train!
Go Trump!

""Political parties in the United States would not allow candidates to reach that level unless they are qualified to lead a country the size of the United States of America," Sisi replied."

Sisi slept through the Presidency of George W. Bush and now he thinks a know nothing lunatic would be a great president. That article juist leads me to believe Sisi is an idiot as well. That Trump approves of another murdering dictator is troubling.

All Trump voters are idiots.

It's a prerequisite.

Clownshack was just talking in Trumpspeak. You don't seem to mind when Trump talks that way.

Most Trump supporters are masochists.

I'm just giving them what they so desperately crave.

Can you hand-wringers say "Donald J. Trump, U.S. President, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate?"

Can you hand-wringers say "Donald J. Trump, U.S. President, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate?"

Sure Gono. But millions of Repubs could never bring themselves to say "Barack H. Obama, Twice elected United States President, and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate", could they?

Sure. We're capable of acknowledging reality.

We never denied BushJr was our president from 2001-2008. We just pointed out how awful he was.

Unlike "Obama's not my president" conservatives, who prefer to deny reality.

Yeah, I know the type of republican who you refer to, but I'm lucky to have personally avoided such a disconnect from political reality. I fear that many folks stuck in both dominate political ideologies get to a point in life where they begin to believe their own hyperbole about the opposition political party.

We never denied BushJr

Plenty of W voters have developed alzheimers about voting for him after he melted down the US economy.

In fact if you had polled registered GOP voters in 2009, it would appear that no one had voted for him either time. It was the immaculate election.

A lot of them post here.

Hypothetically, first thing Trump's going to do after winning the Presidency is fly to Cairo and, rhymes with flow, this guy, then off to Moscow for some, rhymes with, sick some hut.

You can't use "we" in the above statement. Speak only for yourself, because plenty made the claim "Bush's not my President". Especially don't speak of reality when you making such a false statement.

This is what it's like when Donald Trump privately meets a strongman who rules his people by stomping on democracy.

You do realize that this guy is a military strongman who overthrew a democratically elected government, right?

When a Presidential candidate openly loves dictators and millions of Americans support him this nation is in serious trouble. Never in my lifetime have I seen anything like the Trump candidacy, I hope and pray he is defeated and I hope I never see anyone of his ilk becoming a major candidate in America again. He is a dangerous man and millions of fools are going to vote for him. I just have to say, those same millions also voted for G.W. Bush and we all know how that turned out and Trump will be 100 times worse. Yet these idiots are determined that somehow electing a lunatic is a good idea. And then we have the Sullys of this world who stand on silly principle and help allow Trump to win election. Fool is one word I could use to describe them but another would be enabler. If you do anything to enable Trump to become President then you bear the responsibility for whatever he does as President for the rest of your life. Argue with me, call me partisan hack, do whatever you want, but use your head when you vote. Don't waste a vote that could help defeat Trump on Jill Stein who can't win and who will be back in four years to pretend to be a real candidate again. She is a vanity candidate and Gary Johnson is worse than Trump. Read the Libertarian platform, no public schools, college only for the rich, if you can't afford healthcare then die.

'On Saturday, an Egyptian court sentenced six people, including three journalists, to death for allegedly leaking state secrets to Qatar. It would be impossible to view the latest verdicts outside of the larger context of Egypt's legal system."

There can be no approval of Sisi here in the U.S., it would be tantamount to approval of Hitler. When dictators execute their opposition Americans should be united in opposition to them. That's not R or D, it's not liberal or conservative, it's what we pretend to stand for as a nation. Anyone disagreeing with that doesn't believe in democracy or liberty and should admit that openly.
