Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, September 22, 2016

Speaking to the local Fox affiliate in Ohio on Wednesday, Donald Trump was pressed about the birther conspiracy and why he decided to admit on Friday that he was wrong. He responded, "I just wanted to get on with, I wanted to get on with the campaign. A lot of people were asking me questions. We want to talk about jobs. We want to talk about the military. We want to talk about ISIS and get rid of ISIS. We want to talk about bringing jobs back to this area because you've been decimated so we just wanted to get back on the subject of jobs, military, taking care of our vets, etc."

The only reason Mr Trump started being a birther was for political reasons.

So which is the lie?

You can eliminate jobs overnight. Bringing them back takes organization, cooperation, financing, and time, lotsa time. Trump is FUBAR half the time and raises an important point of discussion which the mass media completely ignores half the time.

Trump is FUBAR half the time

If your primary motivation, conscious or unconscious, is to tear the country up, then FUBAR is a valuable trait.

This guy's a real profile in courage.

It's pretty hilarious he came right out and said he only renounced his five-year crackpot racist attack on Obama for political expediency.

Trump is living proof comedy and tragedy are intimately linked.

No one would have been asking his questions about his birtherism if he didn't take up the mantle of birther lunacy to begin with. It's his fault it's an issue.

Fired!

He is only saying that out of political expediency too. Every word coming out of his mouth is for politcal expediency.

Bingo. For all the talk about how honest and straightforward he is, I don't think I've ever seen a bigger phony on the political stage. And that's saying something.

As he has said, he is the same person he was as a toddler; the truth of a matter isn't significant, only expediency matters.

Trump lied? This is shocking news.

As long as the idiot deplorables remain committed he'll do nothing to become serious.

In other words, we have months ahead of us of this kind of nonsense.

Trump is incredibly dumb to think he can win just by making the deplorables happy.

In typical controversial fashion, Trump said:

"I just wanted to get on with, I wanted to get on with the campaign," Trump said, explaining, "A lot of people were asking me questions [about the birther issue]."

This quote is neither controversial, nor the smoking gun confession that some here apparently read into it as.

If Trump boiled and ate tiny babies you wouldn't read much into it.

When and if you draw any sort of line with Donald's behavior, I'll make note of that and give you credit.

As it stands you're one of the Deplorables.

Holding onto a grudge forever.

#17 You're just as delusional as those that ranked FSU #2 prior to the beautiful, delightful stomping they took last weekend.

delusional as those that ranked FSU #2

Completely agree that FSU began the season ranked way too highly in the polls. Under coach Fisher FSU football seems to only perform at championship winning levels when they begin the season underrated...I figure that Jimbo lets the student athletes read too many of their own press clippings.

The on-field stomping was extreme, but the path to the ACC championship seems intact depending on how the Clemson game goes.

#5 | POSTED BY SYCOPHANT

Neither! It's not a lie if you believe it and Donald believes whatever he says at that moment, just like we do.

Did you see this week's SI cover? "What. Just. Happened?"

Louisville has arrived, that's what. Lamar Jackson, holy cow. That guy is scary good. Hell, we thought Teddy Bridgewater was good.

and crooked hillary, when she can stand long enough to address her usual crowd of 30 people and numerous american flags before passing out, morphs into whatever audience she's screeching to. how about her fake black accent she uses to address her blacks for example.

Outbacker, did you also quit being a birther for political reasons, or are you still holding out hope?

SO when is he going to give that money to charity that he promised.

He offered a reward if anyone could prove Obama was born in the USA. Now that he has admitted he was then he must fulfill his promise and give the reward to charity.

And you can forget about the Jobs coming back they have waited to long.

They waited until the perfected the robots. Now the factories will come back to the USA but they will be 100% run by robots.

The factories could not get anyone to fix the union striking problem so they fixed it themselves.
