But the former secretary of State has failed to put away Donald Trump, and many anxious Democrats are baffled as to why the race remains so close.

They're baffled. It's simple actually. If your product is a POS it doesn't matter how much you spend on marketing.

The author of that article, someone named Stanage, ignores the free advertising the networks are giving Trump every single day. His every word is echoed all over the networks. Without their fascination with his lunacy he wouldn't have gotten the nomination. He's their creation, they should take responsiblity for their Frankenstein. Just prove we need to return to the Fairness Doctrine and repeal the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

"... ignores the free advertising the networks are giving Trump every single day. His every word is echoed all over the networks. "

Complete with dog attack commentary blowing racist whistles and questioning every word uttered. it's not exactly an infomercial they're broadcasting.
Meanwhile, the media has been running non-stop glam shots of Hillary with soft adult contemporary DJ's praising every glance.

Hillary's problem is Hillary, Bill, their record, and their shoddy campaign of pandering and creating divisions.

"dog attack commentary blowing racist whistles and questioning every word uttered"

False equivalency again.

They're reporting what Trump said and you call it an attack.

They're reporting what GOP hit squads say about the Clintons and you call it fair and accurate journalism.

Dismissing racism is an issue on its own. No wonder the RW says the liberals are the real racists. They have plenty of examples provided by you and your buddies.

False equivalency?? the media bias is so blatant the media are nearly saying, "we're bias".

Clinton is getting the fluff and fold treatment behind a privacy screen while Trump is having every stain examined and scratch-sniffed.

You're huffing paint?

The media wanted a close race so they focused on Trump to get his numbers up closer to Hillary's. It was obvious what they were doing. I am hardly the first person to notice what they were doing. The media see the Presidential election with $$$ in their minds not reporting or journalism.

Next thing you know the left will claim that they failed because millennial's like the bad boy and Clinton wasn't bad enough.

It appears that Hillary Clinton's campaign has been quickly burning through "Other People's Money" with little to no result.

To be honest, I lol whenever I see Hillary's "all about Trump" TV ads.

You can see the effect of the Hillary ad spending on poll internals, where Trump is viewed as lacking the temperament and qualifications to be president.

The race got closer for several reasons. The biggest is that pollsters shifted from registered voters to likely voters and pollsters all believe older whiter Republicans are more likely to vote than younger diverse Democrats.

The media also has been putting Trump on the air all day long. No other candidate has rallies televised as much as his. They even air an empty podium for an hour if he's late.

I'm sure they would do the same for Hillary if she had any rallies. I wonder why they aren't broadcast live.

If she had any rallies? She's had several hundred.

-The biggest is that

Another is that some resisting Republicans have relented and joined their alt right indie/libertarian brethren for the Marmalade Monster... which was always going happen and the reason Dem pollsters always said it would end up being close as usual in the national vote, while very possibly not being so close in the electoral college.

Most people, by far, have already decided and are not likely to be swayed by either the upcoming (this Monday) debates or the ads.

No they aren't, they are actually putting words in his mouth.

This year? She's off the campaign trail again, but I am sure she's in excellent health.

The reason Hillary can't put Trump away is she miscalculated her opponent and her tactics.

Again. Just like at the State Department.

At least no one died.

Except the DNC Staffer who was going to talk to the feds, but I'm sure that's all.

I think?

That's easy to say without any specifics.

Explain to us how her campaign strategy "miscalculated" Trump.

They miscalculated the morons voting for Trump.

They miscalculated Hillary's appeal to the general public.

#19 | Posted by ClownShack at 2016-09-21 03:53 PM | Reply

That's easy.

Instead of promoting Hillary, they attempted to neutralize Trump with negativity under the assumption Trump would "Act Out" and stain his brand.

It might have worked but Hillary simply brought more attention to hear own misgivings as well and could not stop drinking from a poisoned well.

The constant harping also inoculated Trump from the worst of his deeds because Hillary for the most part carries the same baggage. This leaves Hillary on the defensive while Trump waves her off.

Now, disappearing for days after confirming she was lying about her health and continues to lie will ultimately help Trump also because it brings back her questionable honesty.

At this point either candidate is a stain on the US.

I would counter that the "Deplorable" demographic of America: the hourly working-class folks of the US, those who can barely tolerate the breathless tabloid-esque campaign coverage of both mainstream presidential candidates, will finally begin to tune into the presidential race during the First Presidential Debate.

In a sense, the first debate serves as a public catalyst welcoming the type of person who is a regular voter, but irregular media-consumer, the individual insight into the presidential candidate via their own words in non-soundbite form.

Now, who will preform better on the Debate Stage:
The Showman
or
The Secretary?

She's off the campaign trail again ...

As you posted that comment she was speaking at a rally in Orlando.

Hillary's schedule is light this week because she's doing something Trump can't be bothered to do: study and prepare for the debate.

Or was she.

Here is the backlash due to her lies about her health.
