Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, September 21, 2016

Donald Trump bragged Tuesday there's "nothing like" using other people's money, hours after a report said he used more than $250,000 from his charitable organization to litigate lawsuits against his business interests. Trump, while calling for building safe zones in Syria financed by Gulf states, vaunted the benefits of doing business with "OPM." He said, "It's called OPM. I do it all the time in business. It's called other people's money. There's nothing like doing things with other people's money because it takes the risk -- you get a good chunk out of it and it takes the risk."

His comments came on the heels of a Washington Post report published earlier Tuesday, which called attention to Trump's funneling of contributions from the Donald J. Trump Foundation to charities in order to settle lawsuits against Trump.

Just wait until he starts spending both OPM and OPL--other people's lives...

At this point it appears that he is trying to see just how deplorable he can be and still have the support of the goobers.

Trump's also "down with OPP" as well: youtu.be

We already knew this . This is why he thinks its ok to give women paid time off and increase the earned income credit to people who pay no taxes. No way he can reduce the budget and pay down the debt he is to eager to spend tax payer dollars.

Blowhard's gotta brag. nobody's surprised there.

But let's not pretend corporations and politicians aren't using OPM.

They just don't brag about it.

Why would you let someone who doesn't care about the risk invest your money? He just said he doesn't care if he loses it.

When you can scam people, screw the taxpayers, and get away with it why shouldn't you brag? He owns enough pols that nothing will be done to him. Maybe that's why he wanted the nomination: everybody will be afraid to mess with him.

Interesting to see who have become the major and consistent Trump apologists.

Now I'm seeing why people don't trust these "liberals" and "--------" that I keep hearing about.

Um, duh.
Please tell us you are not claiming this is a bad thing.

-"Please tell us you are not claiming this is a bad thing."

It sure can be...that would all depend on what it's being used for and whether it's approved by the people.
The thing is, we're constantly being lied to whether a D or R is in the seat.

The article represents more than Trump, but the system as a whole, of which the Clintons are major players.

False equivalency again and again by SheepleSchism.

Politicians do use tax dollars.

The last line of #10 is simply a call for anarchy.

At what point is this crap discredited?

Even a King taxes. What kind of alternative do we have to organize ourselves? We're not just wandering around on this continent as individuals. The same person goes from being far left to anarchist to ultra-libertarian.

I don't understand how anybody gives Trump their money, given his track record of bankruptcy and not paying his debts in full and daring creditors to sue him.

His tax returns probably show a lot of shady money coming his way from places like Russia, since a lot of banks won't give him loans.

I think at this point we can stop questioning how Trump supporters don't have a problem with what he says.

All they hear is "billionaire" and they bend over happily.

The only things that gets them up is someone questioning that "billionaire" status.

I have to say that I also agree with the idea that lots of politicians feel this way. They play fast and loose because they have nothing personal to lose.

Who pretends that politicians use their own money for government projects?

This must be the legendary business acumen I keep hearing about.
Government is all other people's money, so Trump will do great with it!

I just put up a thread about today's Politico article regarding how he's already spent over $8,000,000 of campaign donor money on his own companies.

the crooked clintons are masters of taking, and spending, other people's money. considering most of their supporters have hundreds of millions of dollars, it's not surprising their funds are unlimited.
