Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Josh Marshall, TPM: [Donald] Trump lives in a psychic economy of aggression and domination. There are dominators and the dominated. No in between. Every attack he receives, every ego injury must be answered, rebalanced with some new aggression to reassert dominance. These efforts are often wildly self-destructive. We've seen the pattern again and again. The Khans, Judge Curiel, Ted Cruz, virtually every Republican presidential candidate at one point or another, half the reporters who've covered Trump. We can't know a man's inner thoughts. But we've seen action and reaction more than enough times to infer, or rather deduce, his instincts and needs with some precision.

"The Fever Inside Donald Trump"

If the Trump campaign team is concerned over Trump's fever, they should bring in Dr. Jill Stein who has a herbal homeopathic remedy for almost every ailment.
In dank herbs we trust.

Nobody needs a Doctorate in Psychology to figure out Donald Trump. As OWS pointed out, he's one sick puppy.

Your own life's experiences with the many disingenuous, self-serving con artists you've encountered over the years is quite enough to rise the hair on the back of your neck when you start to get that de ja vue feeling.

How many red flags did we ignore because we just crossed our fingers and hoped what we're hearing is nothing more than campaign rhetoric ~ that no President of the United States would deliberately lead America down such a disastrous path?

Case in point.

Have we already forgotten the George Bush administration and the con job that has cost us dearly?

Are we really that naive, that gullible, that partisan, that we're ready to throw it all away again on another "mistake?"

Listen to those red flags. They're all over the place ~ in neon! Get as far away from Donald Trump as fast as you can.

You Florida folks crack me up....have you never met a New Yorker? They all sound like Trump.

Yes, they're all dangerous blowhards. They're from New York City.

SHEEPLE

We'll try to remember that when he drives America into a ditch.

In the meantime, let's concentrate on giving the honor of the Oval Office to someone who has the intelligence to work with other world leaders without threatening to blow them off the face of the earth.

The United States may be the most powerful nation in the world but a president without a lick of common sense and a narcissistic God complex isn't a good use of that power, no matter where he's from.

Yes, they're all dangerous blowhards. They're from New York City.

Ummmm no. Nice try, though.

SHEEPLE

Since I live in Florida year around, I am well acquainted with New York snowbirds and their New York ways ~ although I never thought of anyone I knew as "dangerous."

So if that's your only excuse for a mental deviant like Trump, you're way off base.

I accept your apology in advance, Sheeple.

Let's read about T-rump's 37 percent tax cut for the, "elitez".

Some rwingers are extremely proficient in their cognitive dissonance.

Ya let's talk about taxes, how hedge funds are ruining our nation, neo con invasions that end up with ISIS running the nation we save. Let's talk North Koreas nuclear deal 20 years ago and the Iran one recently. Nope, we get cartoon frogs and mind reading in an attempt to scare and divide.

hedge funds are ruining our nation

Nothing worse than a hedge fund run by illegal immigrants.

Let's talk about the plan to stop illigals and reverse the damage of NAFTA and bring back those jobs..lets talk about improving relations with Russia. Let's talk about a $100,000,000,000 a year trade deficit with China and how TPP will help? .nope... frogs...and scary Russians...with some conjecture about Nazis to make sure it is scary enough.

None of those 3 sentences explained your apparent cognitive dissonance. Not bad as far as obfuscation goes, though.

You are supporting tax breaks, big ones, for the very people you say you despise.

#15 | Posted by Corky at 2016-09-18 09:53 PM | Reply

I didnt say I despised them. I just want to address the network of hedge funds and the influence they buy, business getting slave labor thru free trade with poor nations, and Washington elites. Those issues along with restoring jobs to US citizens when our young inner cities have such persistent unemployment are important.

I don't want to keep the current system and just have the government take more money, and pennies at that, as punishment for the corruption. Time for change and to fight against the elites system. That is why elites want us to get us on talking frogs.

If you don't like your home, there are alternatives to burning it down and rebuilding.
Plus you'll have to live there throughout the fire.

You also cannot coddle the corruption power structure and think things will ever change. The hedge funds, special interests, and Washington power structure will not give up power. We need to take it from them.

#18 | Posted by nole74 at 2016-09-18 10:36 PM | Reply

We need to take it from them.

Trump is just going to take it for himself.
There's no "we."

With Clinton I expect the ration of gruel to remain consistently, reliably thin.

Trump is just too much of a wildcard to do what you're hoping he will do.

Assuming you think Trump is actually going to somehow break the stranglehold corporate money has on our political process, can you point to the "tells" and the secret language where you get the idea he's going to achieve this by going after corrupt hedge fund managers? I've heard him say nothing of the sort.

SNOOFY

Boiled down, the questions are how can anybody believe a compulsive and obsessive liar?

Does anybody think he's going to cut off his nose to spite his face?

Does he view the power of the presidency as anything other than a way to enrich himself?

Does Trump give a damn about anything other than his own greed?

Do his supporters realize that people like Trump profit from stepping on the misfortune he causes others?

Do they know that's been his m.o. all his life.
