Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

While serving time in a Nevada prison, O.J. Simpson is seeking to convert to Islam, according to the National Enquirer. The tabloid claims that Simpson has been in contact with the retired boxer Mike Tyson, who is Muslim. "O.J. and Mike have been communicating the past couple of months," an unnamed source told the Enquirer. "Mike has been encouraging him to study the faith and read the Koran." The 67-year-old former NFL star has been in a Nevada prison since 2007 after being convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping. His manager said he's been involved in Bible studies and considered becoming a televangelist. "When I talk to him on the phone, all he wants to discuss is religion," manager Norman Pardo said. "He's obsessed!"

Like Mr. Neeson, I too spent several weeks in a Muslim country, Algeria to be exact. The morning prayer, awful screaming to be sure, is enough to drive anyone insane, especially an atheist like me. Mr. Neeson, I man of fine character, had a beautiful experience in Turkey, but its very odd to make such a radical statement following just a 1 month visit. That worthless POS O.J. can convert to whatever he feels like. Who the hell cares about him?

That's not actually what he said. He's a little loopy in the way he speaks at times - makes me think he may be a little loopy in reality.

Neeson supposedly told 'The Sun' (of all 'papers'): "The call to prayer happens five times a day, and for the first week, it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit, and it's the most beautiful, beautiful thing… There are 4,000 mosques in the city. Some are just stunning, and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim."

I can see him saying that. Which isn't saying he "wants" to be a Muslim but it makes you think about it. I can understand that. The call to prayer can be a very beautiful thing depending on the person doing it and we are drawn to beautiful things. As for the beautiful Mosques of Istanbul he also commented on - most of them were Cathedrals built prior to the Muslim invasion. Istanbul used to be the seat of Christianity prior to the great schism which left the Eastern church (aka Orthodox today) in Istanbul and the Western church (aka Latin or Roman Catholic) in Rome.

Ever read what it's okay to do if you are a Jew or Christian (depending on your take of the 'Bible')?

Thou Shall Not Kill. Christian or Jew. Not Muslim.

Make sure you buy some 'Nuge tickets right away to get the hatred daily double.

The U.S. will soon become another Britain with Muslims taking over every aspect of society as their numbers here continue to grow. Like in Britain, they'll demand a separate judicial system to inflict Sharia law, insist Muslim women get to wear veils covering their full face even for their driver's license photo, and demand being able to have school prayer 5 times a day. It's only getting worse here in our own country with a recent incident where a single Muslim woman forced a restaurant owner to take down a sign because it had the word "bacon" in it. Our Western values and those of the Muslims can never co-exist -- at least not peacefully.

Islamists all appear to be obsessed when it comes to religion. Looks like OJ will fit in nicely.

Unlike Christians?

Lol.

Give yourself a break CC. You've done enough in two posts to display your ignorance and bias to last you for the whole day.

Naw. It was enough to last her a week. At least.

I have American values as long as I believe in bacon? Good to know!

Also. The difference between America and the rest of the world is that we aren't changing the word "bacon" to accommodate anyone.

We may force you to treat gays women and minorities with tolerance. Ask that you show them respect.

But no one is changing any laws to accommodate any religion.

Christians try to do it everyday and my message to them is the same as my message to Muslim Jews Hindus...

"Get your God damn religion out of my life!"

The owner took down his restaurant's bacon sign, didn't he? Sounds "accomodating" to me.

The owner took down his restaurant's bacon sign, didn't he? Sounds "accomodating" to me.

The restaurant owner took the sign down of his own volition. He wasn't forced to do anything.

Also: "Sneakers Bistro and Cafe took down a sign that said "Yield For Sneakers Bacon" that had been in the Winooski Rotary last week in response to a complaint from a "vegan and a member of a Muslim household" who said the sign was insensitive to the city's diverse population."

Maybe you should be scared of vegans too.

The article continues: Many people balked at the decision, criticizing Sneakers for what they said was an unnecessary move.

"I actually liked the restaurant and food but will never return as I am offended that my family has a 200 year old history of fighting and dying for our Freedom and that the owners aren't courageous enough to stand up to an intolerant and unreasonable person," wrote one commenter, Steven Conklin, on a public Facebook page about the controversy.

Like I said CC. You've done a lot to display your ignorance. And you came back to double down.

From your link in #24 it sounds as though most of the town agreed with me, not you -- including the guy who wrote the above quote calling the Muslim who started this ------------- episode an "intolerant and unreasonable person." Hard to see how you figure that as being a "win" for your side.

Al Queda turns into ISIS...ISIS turns into ISIL...and suddenly the sky is falling?

You would think this was the second coming of the Red Scare. Black list that Neeson! It only took him one month? Just imagine how quick it will be when ISIL has a machete at your neck. CONVERT OR DIE!

You can't even get away with an honor killing here in America. What makes you think people are going to be forced to convert via machete? Oh, because B. Hussein Obama is still POTUS, eh?

Partisan HACK!

HAHAHAHA!

I've seen two articles about OJ this year and I read one of them...

One was about OJ being obsessed with Kim Kardashian,
the other about him considering Islam...

LOL
