Israeli aircraft fired two missiles at a 12-story apartment tower in downtown Gaza City on Saturday, collapsing the building, sending a huge fireball into the sky and wounding at least 22 people, including 11 children, witnesses and Palestinian officials said. Israel has launched some 5,000 airstrikes against Gaza in nearly seven weeks of fighting with Hamas, but Saturday's strike marked the first time an entire high-rise was toppled. Gaza police say Israeli aircraft fired a warning missile at the roof of the tower at dusk, followed five minutes later by two missiles with explosives.

Mohammed Suliman, a Gaza resident and London School of Economics graduate student who has posted frequent war updates on Twitter under the ImPalestine account for 40,000 followers, wrote today, "I was heading to @Jehadsaftawi's place when he told me to change route as residents were told to evacuate. I then heard to enormous blasts. One of the tallest residential buildings in Gaza next to where @Jehadsaftawi lives has just been hit with two missiles. Ten injuries so far. Thirteen stories have just been razed to the ground. Forty four residential apartments destroyed. Forty four families have been displaced."

Jehad Saftawi, a photojournalist, posted, "This is the most hard experience which anyone can face to wait and watch the missiles fall on your house."

Is this the same attack that killed three of the hamas murderers and leaders who very well may have called for the MURDERS of palestinians who have helped ISrael in some silly way..Or perhaps three of the hamas killers who continue to see that at least a hundred or so rockets continue to be fired into Israel....???

I was asking because no where in the link did I read any mention of that like I read in at least three other sources. Perhaps I'm referring to another attack on cowards hiding in civilian homes.

Today's leaders of Israel should have Simon Wiesenthal hunting them down as criminal vermin.

Israel has killed more civilians in the last month than Hamas has in its entire history. When was the last time toy heard of a Hamas rocket doing more than stirring up desert dirt?

44 families but 22 injured, no dead.. looks like the warnings work.

And some Jews were killed over the weekend by a Hamas rocket. They actually hit something for once.

The only time that Israeli leaders will be incentivized to talk peace is when the kill ratio is ... shall we say more equitable. When all the sacrifice is being done by one side the war will continue, as they view it as a sport with rewards of more land.

Probably comes as a major shock to you, but that's how you win in these matters. May I refer to Tokyo, Dresden, Frankfort, Hiroshima...you know, the ones we won?

Only tells me that there's a great deal of stupidity coming from someone. You know the ol' sayin', "You "F" with the bull, you get the horn," don't you?
I suppose you'd feel better if the body count was even, right? Seein' as how there are many fewer Israelis than Muslims in the ME, the body count so far is about right in order for it to be fair.

Keep it simple, Robbie...all the losing side has to do is say, "We promise to stop lobbing rockets over the border and quit building terror tunnels. But then, we've known for a long time they're probably not that bright. Look how long it took the Germans and the Japanese to learn and THEY were a lot smarter.

Huh? Let's restate this. So hypothetically you are a native New Jersey farmer and the UN/UK/US govt and the rich Wall Street/Rothschilds bankers march in and tell you that Israeli immigrants from Russia and Poland will now own 1/2 of your land under a corporate government eminent domain agreement. So what do you as a NJ American landowner say and do?

I'll tell you what most Americans would do in such a circumstance ... and it is expel the invaders any way they can, especially when they move to to take even more land. It is likely why they want your guns taken from you. Some how the Israelis with the help of their money and the US media have portrayed themselves as victims in this when they are absolutely toxic invaders. They have no right to Palestine anymore than Israel has a right to New Jersey.
