Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, August 23, 2014

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Paul Ryan said Thursday he would love to see Mitt Romney run again for president and teased the GOP's former nominee at one point that the "third time's the charm." Appearing with Ryan at a public event for the first time since their ticket lost two years ago, Romney offered his own good-humored praise by saying that Ryan "wouldn't be a bad president" himself. Ryan has said he will wait until after the midterm elections to decide whether to pursue his own presidential campaign in 2016. Romney has repeatedly denied any plans for another campaign for president. He failed to win the nomination in 2008 and then lost the election to President Barack Obama in 2012.

It would be the least shocking thing in the world if Mitt ran a third time. It would be Mitt v Jeb, leaving the rest of the Klown Kar in the dust.

Their only problem would be distinguishing any difference at all between them.

Willard is still a goofball, but he should run anyway.

Of course he does. It's his only possible way to get to the White House.

Wonder how pissed he'll be when Mitt picks Rubio instead of him?

Having had VIP seat's to watch Paul's speech a few years back I can tell you one thing. He and his family are Kennedy ready. Memorizing.

This is how they are marketing Hillary. Vote for her or else put one of these #$%^ing ladies of the evening in office.

The only difference between the Republican and Democratic parties is the velocities with which their knees hit the floor when corporations knock on their door. That's the only difference.

Ralph Nader

I want Cruz to get the nomination, and pick West as his running mate. A real, actual Socialist could win against that ticket. Eugene Debs could win against that ticket.

Young Mr. Munster must think that if Mitt runs again that Eddie will still be the VP choice. The probability of those two events occurring is nil...

Who cares what a loser like Paul Ryan thinks?

The spanking he got from Biden showed him to be a rank amateur on virtually every level imaginable.

-That's the only difference.

Even if it were, which it most obviously isn't, that would still be enough to keep the worst choice out of office while better ones are developed.... but then, that would mean actually working instead of just whining about one's choices.

Unless, of course your other stated option is the violent overthrow of the government, in which case I guess you better lock and load.

Other than blogging on behalf of the Dems, what do you do?

Canucklehead Cruz can't run for president because he was born in Canada, and it doesn't matter if he doesn't like it, its the law!

""that would mean actually working instead of just whining about one's choices.""

What do the words "actually working" mean, specifically?

Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton.

Didn't want them in 2008 or 2012.

Don't want them in 2016.

What's the plan? run every four years? maybe you'll get lucky?

In the 2 party dictatorship, one of them has to get elected, so yeah, that's a good strategy. Go Willard! He's fun to beat up on, being such an up-tight-conformist-predatory- capitalist shmuck.

Thread could have ended here.

Plus Willard is a Mormon. Just the kind of free thinker we need to deal with the multiplying problems of resource-depletion, over-population, species extinction, etc.

Besides, what else is Mitt gonna' do with all that money.

I want to hear more about his feelings about the 47%.

As fun as 9-9-9!

Hopefully we'll get an update soon on Ann's horse/tax deduction Rafalca.

The whole country is so concerned about how that dressage is, err, dressaging.

I've dodged sniper fire as first lady. Managed a horrible campaign in 2007 where I lost to a college professor that's never had a job. Hire me for that 3a.m phone call-Hillary

A number of candidates have lost in the primaries and then have returned for other presidential races, but I don't believe we have had a candidate since Nixon who lost in the general election to return as a candidate.
