The Border Patrol has placed 10 additional rescue beacons throughout the desert west of Tucson as part of its Blue Light of Life campaign. Tucson Sector Border Patrol said the rescue beacons were strategically placed across the remote desert with help from the Arizona National Guard to save the lives of migrants in distress, many of whom are abandoned by smugglers. The Tucson Sector reportedly had 83 rescue beacon activations this fiscal year, resulting in the rescue of 142 people. Another 95 people were found dead by agents during that time, but officials say that's 44 percent fewer than the previous fiscal year.

"Oh, our law enforcement agencies have found bodies in the desert, just lying out there, that have been beheaded" The loony Jan Brewer

That came as surprising news to Dr. Eric Peters, medical examiner for Pima County, Arizona.
" We haven't had a single death due to a beheading or having a beheading associated with it." Peters reported

"It's exceedingly rare for the deaths to have anything to do with any type of violence at all, and certainly no beheadings," Peters said

I'm no big Jan Brewer fan and there were no "beheadings" in Arizona when she made her statement. But that changed in 2012
