Al Gore says Al Jazeera America is withholding $65 million from Current Media shareholders after buying the cable channel last year, and he's gone to court to get it. "Al Jazeera America wants to give itself a discount on the purchase price that was agreed to nearly two years ago," said David Boies, a lawyer representing the former vice president. The lawsuit is sealed, which Boies is fighting in court. "[D]espite being a news organization, Al Jazeera America has said the full complaint should be kept from the public file."

Al Gore could have cut a deal with Al Jazeera, were they would just pay him his small share of the 65 million. Instead he is fighting to make ALL shareholders whole....typical

Never forget that while Mr Gore and John Kerry were in Vietnam, The lying draft-dodging, chicken-hawk COWARDS-traitors Bush, Cheney, Boehner, McConnell, Clarence Thomas and Limbaugh were safe at home. And Mitt Romney was hiding-out in a castle in France, with his own private chef, and gay butler. (not that there is any thing wrong with gay butlers, mind you)

It's like a fatwa, but more expensive.

Why he would sell to a Middle Eastern propaganda network, I'll never know.

Because Rupert Murdoch's right wing propaganda network didn't make a big enough offer?

I bet he's regretting not selling it to Glenn Beck now.

#1 Nice deflection. I'm sure it was Bush's fault that he didn't get paid too.

A lot more than what Dubya got.

Al Jazeera versus Al Gore. Like potholes versus bad breath. Hopefully they both somehow lose.

Why does no one mention that Joe Biden got five deferments for asthma while playing football in college? In addition to Joe's draft dodging he was also caught plagiarizing while he was draft dodging.

Probably because Biden isn't a chickenhawk and didn't start a war with the wrong country after 9/11.

He voted yes to go to war after 9/11 there Kissinger.

Read State of Denial by Bob Woodward for a better understanding why Congress voting yes to War with Iraq doesn't hold nearly as much weight as Bush/Cheney/Rumsfelds gathering and presenting of false information to push for War EVEN BEFORE 9/11 TOOK PLACE!!!!

True, but that doesn't have much traction since he was a follower not a leader on that particular mistake. He gave the President the authority to stuff, that's not quite the same as doing it, and no guarantee he would have done it the same way. Perhaps a lifelong bureaucrat like Biden would have realized that de-Ba'athification would cripple Iraq for a generation.

Biden, and the rest of Congress, may have been looking at the same information as the Bush Administration, but they were not aware of the complete lack of credibility contained in the information, like the Bush administration was clearly aware of. The information was procured by Tenet's CIA. Tenet was in the Oval Office with Bush daily. IMO, they all knew the dubiousness of the information, yet let it slide because they knew all they had to do was get in the front door. After that, it won't matter if the information was false or not.

And they were right.

Well, I think two things happened. First, they had to be "tough on terrorists" or whatever after 9/11. But beyond the political posturing, I think some Democrats were happy to hand the GOP sufficient rope to hang themselves, hoping the invasion would be their Obamacare... er, Waterloo. They were more right than they anticipated. Other Democrats like Lieberman (yes, I know he went "independent") were simply chickenhawks through and through. The military industrial complex provides much needed local jobs; doesn't matter that they're pork. The game may be rigged, but it's the only game in town.

Going to war with Iraq without first settling accounts with Iran has a lot to do with the mess we're in now. If we had Iran for an ally we'd have the whole Middle East sewn up. This is what PNAC hoped to accomplish too, just through force projection not diplomacy, which is why PNAC ideas are stupid and unworkable for even the 20th century, forget the 21st.

And Bush got out because of a silver spoon lodged in his mouth.

One went to Vietnam; one was too much of a coward to blow his own eardrum out.
