Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, August 17, 2014

A mob descended on an Ebola patient center in Liberia chanting, "No Ebola in West Point! No Ebola in West Point!" They stormed the front gate, stole gloves and the chlorine sprayers used to disinfect the bodies of those who die, all the while hollering that Ebola is a hoax. They ransacked the protective suits, goggles and masks. Jemimah Kargbo, a health care worker at a clinic next door, said they took mattresses and bedding, utensils and plastic chairs. "Everybody left with their own thing," she said. "What are they carrying to their homes? They are carrying their deaths."

I realize that some of you might think I don't care about these people, but this article made me cry without drinking. Something inside me that wasn't already broken, did, as I read.

How ironic that quarantine is simply too late because nobody trusts their politician to do the right thing.

No one ever said that natural selection is pretty.

West Point, Liberia... famed for having 4 toilets for 75,000 people so everybody just poops in the streets. An overpopulated disease magnet, it's a peninsula where you can't eat the fish because everybody poops in the ocean. Unchecked coastal erosion is erasing the entire place.

So does Alex Jones actually air in Liberia?

Any excuse to loot. A superior response from a superior people.

Ebola, Shimola. Get your Nobel Prizes ready, some on the same continent claim camel urine cures cancer, too.

Some on this continent claim that man-made global warming is a myth.

Please remember when you see the numbers of infected and dead from the WHO, they are only counting Lab confirmed cases. You know the three day test that was done on the guy in New York. Lab confirmed is far and away from what is happening on the ground, and that is why the people are scared out of their minds. They do not have this under control, and at the current time do not look like they will have it under control until the countries infected have been mostly depopulated. Yeah it is that bad.

Storming a disease center to tear it apart would be the last thing I would ever fathom doing.

"What are they carrying to their homes? They are carrying their deaths."

Indeed.

America needs to understand how ignorant the rest of the world really is.

#10 | Posted by tmaster at 2014-08-17 07:33 PM | Reply | Flag:

TMaster, first, America has to come to grips with how ignorant it is. We have many sect's which believe in faith healing, and a huge population that does not believe anything the Government says or does, coupled with a political landscape that is in constant battle with each other. Yeah, when the virus makes it to our shores (not if, but when) many people will have to be hit up side the head and convinced that denial is not a river in Egypt but the stupid stuff coming out of their mouths.

And after Ebola runs its' course- "And I hear Africa will be open soon, as vacation land for, lawyers in love" to paraphrase Jackson Browne-

If Ebola runs the course I think it is going to run, the Earth will be vacation land for Alien Lawyers in Love. (Thank you Mr. Browne for the music all good and worth listening to.)

Those who promote the BS that Ebola is a hoax are to blame.

This is going on in a country where an entire militia stripped butt naked before going into battle because they believed it made them invincible. Children were sacrificed to the devil and eaten in order to gain supernatural powers. Entire armies were coked up. 2 back to back civil wars spanning 11 years. When the UN came, the peacekeepers sexually abused the locals they were supposed to protect.

The place is hell on earth.

i'm 67 and always hoped they would discover ET before i died....but i can settle
for global meltdown, just as exciting and more personal. pollution and sickness
will be the bomb, religion/politics the fuse. i truly believe we will see something
in the next 3 to 5 years that will be proof positive of just what a destructive
species humans are. animals don't generally ---- where they they sleep and as
smart as we're supposed to be, we are so corrupted by our own opinion of
ourselves that we've come to this.

I think your attitude is demonstrative of what a crap species we can be. "I'm old and almost dead so it would be cool for me to see things go to hell on my way out...."

Two Africans suspected of Ebola escape from Saudi health centre.

They are searching for them. This is how it is going to get in most other countries.

And like the dead woman in Austria, tests have not come back yet on her.

Whoops my bad, tests are now in and it is negative.

Ebola won't do that.

First because it doesn't kill everyone (this strain only 50-60% despite the constant trotting out of the 90% figure) and second because enclaves of better educated and *cough*less religious looniness*cough* won't see it spread so easily.
