Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Burns Strider, Roll Call: Republican operatives are as lost as last year's Easter eggs when it comes to stopping Hillary Rodham Clinton. It's two years from the presidential election, important 2014 elections are in front of us, and Clinton hasn't even decided whether she will run. But the well-oiled Republican attack industry has thrown everything at her but the kitchen sink. Last week, the Republican-led House Intelligence Committee confirmed what we've known all along: its most tried and most misleading attack, Benghazi, is baseless.

Why would right-wing extremists devote their time, energy and money so far away from an election attempting to discredit someone who hasn't even decided to be a candidate? It's as simple as apple pie: If Clinton runs, their agenda is in trouble. ...

In the meantime, I'm waiting to see how House Republicans explain to their constituents back home this August that they're continuing to waste millions of taxpayer dollars funding a wild-goose chase on Benghazi, when their own, Republican-led committee has already determined this attack to be baseless.

Burns Strider is a national Democratic political strategist.

2. Americans across the ideological spectrum are looking positively to a potential Clinton run. Republicans are trying every tactic in the book, even trying to convince Democrats that Clinton is not liberal enough. But only 6 percent of liberal Democrats don't think she should run for president.

I'm waiting for the primary. When Pocahontas Warren and "Old Money" Clinton start debating, I think Warren will chew her up on truly liberal issues. Hillary doesn't have much to go on there. Face it: people describe Obama as a "right-leaning centrist" and Clinton is more hawkish, equally pro-Wall Street, old and white. She's a Republican. Yeah, the polls right now show her comfortably ahead, but really...how many people are really familiar with Warren?

Hillary's '16 bid has been an unmitigated disaster so far.

She just keeps stepping in it, over and over again.

She is all over the place. She started things off with her book which is an amazing paradox of saying a lot while also saying nothing. Unsurprisingly, her book flopped.

OK, obviously bland didn't work, time to make some bold statements.

How has that been working out? She has said stupid thing after stupid thing. With her recent rip of Obama's foreign policy, she unwittingly harpoons her own tenure as Sec of State. Now she's channeling John Kerry - "I was actually for Obama's foreign policy, before I was against it." or some incoherent crap like that.

I think we've uncovered the ultimate bi-partisanship on the DR. Liberals, conservatives, libertarians, moderates and independents ALL seem to take great joy in ripping Hillary to shreds.

Well, it's a little different for liberals. They aren't taking joy in it. They are angry that she's the current Dem front-runner and while the other people I mentioned are having fun with it, it's not particularly fun for liberals, even though they agree with the criticisms.

My apologies to Hillary. Her book is a smashing success.

One has to wonder, though, which candidate would be dumb enough to depend on the far left of the base for their support when they turned on Obama before his first term was out.

And why anyone in the country would trust the nominee of the far left when they spend most of their time trashing him now.

I mean, why would they be right this time when, by their own admission, they were SO wrong last time?

Running Hilary against ambiguous "Klown Kar Kandidates" will never result in accurate polls.

1) Surveys/polls are incredibly unreliable.

Just like GWB in 2000, Hillary Clinton today is emblematic of everything that is wrong with American partisan politics. The whole system is designed to give corporation, bank and military-industrial complex a monopoly on power. Unless you play their bogus 'centrist' game, you can never win. And by 'centrist' I mean, supporting big business, big banks, and big national security. The Establishment want someone who they trust to maintain their wealth and power. And they feel very comfortable with Hillary Clinton. Sickening weasel.

What we really need is a parliamentary system with multiple parties.

The choices are crappy:

You can vote for a republican, who is owned by wall street, the military, and big corrupt corporations, and thinks global warming is a lie.

OR

You can vote for a dem like Hillary - who is owned by wall street, the military, and big corrupt corporations, but who thinks we need to protect the poor from starvation and the planet from pollution (but in a limited way)

Thats it. You will not be allowed to have a candidate who challenges wall street or the military industrial complex. They'd kill him/her first.

One of the reasons why GWB was such a bad president is because his own party wouldn't stand up to him, even when he was spending like crazy. A president's own party struggles with challenging that president.

The tea party has gotten away with so much obstruction for only one reason.....the current president is a democrat.

I would be better if the GOP has obstructed MORE when GWB was president in exchange for less obstruction for Obama. The difference is partisanship and nothing more.

Why does such rank and horrible partisanship work?

answer.......party line voters who are counted on to reward such behavior.

If Hillary is elected, she will get to nominate anybody she wants for the SC, no matter how conservative, and her party will confirm them.

it's a lock. The only folks who can be counted on to block such a candidate are the republicans.

Keep what up? Pointing out the proud stupidity of the republican party? I can do that endlessly.

You gonna tell me the biblethumpers DON'T think jesus is going to come back in the apocalypse? The fact that you'd vote for anyone who thinks the earth is 6000 years old says a lot about you.

Once again. I'm not pro-democrat. I'm anti-republican.

And what party are the 6000 year old earth people in?

Your answer is the moron party. If you're not anti-republican, you're not anti-moron.

-Why would anyone expect a neocon bankster like Hillary to nominate SC justices that aren't in line with her neocon bankster beliefs?

I see the Heritage Foundation has scored another propaganda victim.

Why do you think Elizabeth Warren supports her?

Idiot.

A freshman female democrat endorses another female democrat. Wow

Warren hasn't had time to do much. People like what she has said but there isn't much else to her yet.

That endorsement is virtually meaningless.

#92 It's the XX chromosome. That trumps everything else.

Hillary is old school. In a time where they sold books not to sell to real people but as a way for supporters to buy truck loads of books to funnel illegal money to her bypassing campain finance laws.

No one wants her book and things have changed.

The people that voted for Obama wont even show up to vote for her. And all it will take is one black running aginst her in the primary to knock her out.

I have a pretty good memory, Remember those 150+ FBI files she had in her possession? A guy in the Nixon administration went to prison for having part of ONE. I guess, As Orwell said, Some are more equal than others. What could go wrong? She is an elitist who feels herself above the law. She lies with ease. She is cruel and vindictive, and that is what her friends say about her- She is Nixon, with a XX chromosome.

1 Reason that Hillary will win:

...
Bush = white male fascist pig

Obama = black male fascist pig

Hillary white female fascist pig

Mission accomplished = Hope and Change = _______________.

I suppose the the "other party" might come up with someone even worse, but why would the fascisti take chances? They love her already.
