Israel and Hamas accepted a renewed Egyptian cease-fire proposal on Sunday, which enables the resumption of talks on a long-term truce. Hamas seeks an end to an Israeli-Egyptian blockade on Gaza, while Israel wants Hamas to dismantle its arsenal of rockets and other weapons. "We are going to engage in serious talks in the 72 hours to end the blockade and deliver humanitarian materials into Gaza with the hope of reaching a lasting cease-fire," said Qais Abdelkarim, a member of the Palestinian delegation engaged in talks in Cairo.

The Palestinians should vote to fire the terrorist group HAMAS from representing them with Rockets Missals and Murder.

Generally speaking people who are being shot at for long periods of time loose interest in negotiating for peace especially when the people shooting at you have a charter that calls for your complete annihilation.

Israel should refuse all cease fire talks until such time as the terrorists in Palestine accept Israels right to exists.

"Israel should refuse all cease fire talks until such time as the terrorists in Palestine accept Israels right to exists."

israel has acted belligerently since its formation and the zionists who formed it acted belligerently well before. so who's to say it deserves to exist at all? there is no right whatsoever. that is a complete fallacy.

its like saying cancer deserves to exist in the world because it still infects many people and is the leading cause of death in the developed world and we just have to learn to accept it for what it is.

I was not aware they had behaved in a way you interpret as "belligerent".

"who's to say it deserves to exist at all"
Most thinking people agree that mass Genocide is wrong.

"its like saying cancer deserves"
The sentence is neither a question or point perhaps you could elaborate.

The real story:

NOAM CHOMSKY: It's a hideous atrocity, sadistic, vicious, murderous, totally without any credible pretext. It's another one of the periodic Israeli exercises in what they delicately call "mowing the lawn." That means shooting fish in the pond, to make sure that the animals stay quiet in the cage that you've constructed for them, after which you go to a period of what's called "ceasefire," which means that Hamas observes the ceasefire, as Israel concedes, while Israel continues to violate it. Then it's broken by an Israeli escalation, Hamas reaction. Then you have period of "mowing the lawn." This one is, in many ways, more sadistic and vicious even than the earlier ones.

American backed Egyptian military coup working as intended. Nothing more than an American viceroy doing the bidding of its imperial masters.

Hope and change!

From everything I can find within the Hamas charter they are exclusively opposed to the Zionist occupation, meaning specifically Israeli colonists who continue expanding and branching further into legal territorial "disputes", but essentially building their new "homes" on the recently dead.

In order for any solution to be presented all parties should be "present", so this is a new development in that Hamas will allegedly be informed of this presented cease-fire accord. While in control every possible avenue of outcome, it's hard to see a legitimately peaceful outcome without suspension of propaganda.

True, lasting peace is an undertaking that includes all parties doing their part toward that end. I highly doubt the Israeli are being honest about their undertakings.

Do Americans still borrow billions from China so our politicians and others keep their hooks in the Egyptian politicians (and Israel)?

"The charter states that "our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious" and calls for the eventual creation of an Islamic state in Palestine, in place of Israel and the Palestinian Territories,[2] and the obliteration or dissolution of Israel.[3][4]"
