A California man who sued an insurance company and received a settlement was paid with more than $21,000 in loose change. Andres Carrasco, 72, filed suit alleging he was assaulted by an employeee of Adriana's Insurance Service, Inc. His payment was delivered as a check along with buckets and buckets of quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. "I am disappointed by the way Adriana's treats their customers and the elderly," Carrasco said. "We might be poor, but we are people too."

Insurance companies are known to tell you everything positive, but when pay off time comes, to make the coverage evaporate. You then need a lawyer to get paid off for what your premiums clearly covered. This insurance company should be required to prove that they were not being a vindictive and bad business person, and if so be required to pay twice the settlement. Insurance companies gladly accept premiums but you should not need to twist their arm to get coverage.
