Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, August 05, 2014

Montana Sen. John Walsh is engaged in internal deliberations with his political team about whether to stay on the ballot this year, sources said Tuesday, in the wake of a plagiarism scandal that has tarnished the appointed Democratic lawmaker's standing. Walsh's political problems began two weeks ago when the New York Times reported that he had plagiarized significant portions of a paper to earn his master's degree in 2007 at the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

The Times reported, "An examination of the final paper required for Walsh's masterís degree from the United States Army War College indicates the senator appropriated at least a quarter of his thesis on American Middle East policy from other authors' works, with no attribution."

I thought this was a old article about Joe Biden when I saw the title.

I don't see how he can continue. We're not talking about lifting a line here or failing to attribute a quote there, but rather using other people's work for his entire master's thesis.

#4Why? Ted Kennedy was kicked out of law school for cheating. Joe Biden was almosted kicked out and begged for mercy before going on to plagiarize another man's life story which he had to quit his presidential run in the late 80's over.

Well, maybe we can get Ted Cruz and Rand Paul to quit too, for the same reason? I guess it's a function of how much personal pride you have in yourself, or how permissible it is to cheat to get ahead.

The truth does have a certain inevitability about it, yes.

Obama and his supporters were crying the race card before he was elected. Remember when you guys called Bill Clinton a racist? Remember when Hillary's campaign floated the idea that Obama was a foreigner? Or how he had ties to radicals like Bill Ayers and Rev Wright? Yes all of that was brought to us by Hillary Clinton. Now you'll go and vote for the original birthers in the next election.
