An innocent homeowner was mistakenly killed and a parolee was fatally shot by Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies early Saturday after an hours-long hostage situation and standoff in Pico Rivera, California. Deputies were searching for Cedric Ramirez, 24, who was wanted on two felony warrants, when he fled a home and broke into another. He exchanged gunfire with police and they escorted occupants out of the home. "Within seconds of their exit, an adult male suddenly appeared in the doorway," said Chief Bill McSweeney, of the Sheriff's Department.

Apparently this is a take off on the philosophy of some governments, who put their military priority on getting the bad guys, where collateral damage and killing innocent people is irrelevant, and now our own cops are apparently buying into it. Perhaps they need seriously reminded that the collateral damage pays their generous pensions and salaries.

Every police disciplinary board needs to have rotating panels of average civilians serving as the yay or nay on prosecution, and not DAs that are members of the club.

This new generation of cops is a parting gift from Dubya. He sent these kids to go shoot muslins without accountability. What did you think would happen when they came home and got jobs in our police forces?

Whenever I cross paths with a man/women with a holstered gun, I get far away from them, as fast as possible (cops included) If they kill or injure you on purpose or "accidentally" matters not. The final results are the same.
