Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, July 26, 2014

In an intensely awkward congressional hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday, freshman Rep. Curt Clawson misidentified two senior U.S. government officials as representatives of the Indian government. Even though Nisha Biswal and Arun Kumar are Americans who were introduced as U.S. officials of the State Department and Commerce Department, the Florida Republican made several references to them being foreign and said, "I'm familiar with your country; I love your country. Anything I can do to make the relationship with India better, I'm willing and enthusiastic about doing so."

At least he didn't try to have them deported. Alternatively, I guess he could have asked them for a strawberry squishee or technical support with his new PC.

Two things come to mind when speaking of fops who get elected with the support of the tea party . . .

"Open mouth, insert foot"

and

"Remain silent and thought a fool, or speak and remove all doubt"

Absolutely baked. Were these corporate legislative hypocrites dropped offshore as children? "Progress" begins with voting out pompous indigents such as Curt Clawson. Florida needs to unify against the Republican age-camps.
