Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, July 22, 2014

Two police officers in Fruitland Park, Florida, joined the Ku Klux Klan in the past five years, a revelation that alarmed city officials and residents of the town of less than 5,000 in Central Florida. Officer James Elkins resigned in 2010 after his Klan membership was revealed by his estranged wife. Officer George Hunnewell and his wife Anne, a police secretary, joined five years ago by kneeling in another officer's living room with pillow cases over their heads and reciting a few words. George Hunnewell was later fired. "It's exceedingly unusual these days to find a police officer who is secretly a Klansman," said Mark Potok, a senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Sames, you know very well that you are being dishonest.

If you do not, you are much slower on the uptake than we all give you credit for.

And believe me, we do give you credit for being slow.

If you believe what you have posted, then you probably also believe that Abraham Lincoln was the Beloved Father of The Confederacy.

Tell me again who was the party that had the last member of the KKK? I don't mean like the guy in charge of the hoods. I mean like started a chapter in his state b/c they didn't have a local one. Here's a hint. He was from W.Va and was a grand wizard.

The home of the KKK is still the South, the Red State stronghold that welcomed racists into the GOP when the Dems pushed Civil Rights in the '60s, which is, of course, how the South went Republican.

Tell me again who realized they could win the south by stealing all the racists from the democratic party?

Not a political point but, I saw a history chanell show a few years back and was surprised at the number of members in Indiana? Growing up in the South I've always thought it was a southern issue until I saw that. They had infiltrated most of the politicians in Indiana.

Speak, honestly I was just derailing the story. I think it's awful and the FBI or state authorities should investigate every officer and every arrest after the fact.

They probably enjoy all the rights and privileges unions have gotten for them while simultaneously buying into right wing anti union propaganda. Because they're clearly morons.

To those who have lived in the north, south, midwest and southwest, we KNOW where the biggest racists live - and it ain't in Atlanta. -

Google "the most racist city in America" and there we are, sitting right on top. It almost always comes down to anecdotes (the experience of racism is difficult to quantify) but if Google results indicate how people think, then we've got racism deeply lodged inside us -- and this from a state that elected an African American to two terms as governor and voted overwhelmingly pro-Obama in 2008.

Just because the history of lynching isn't there, doesn't mean they are not full blown racists.

Hell, NO, Chicago, Detroit and Philly are the biggest in "reverse" racism.

And then the republicans realized they could win the racists over by opposing civil rights and it worked. Look it up. They've been voting against their own economic interests ever since.

What goes around often comes around. Maybe the KKK were following in the footsteps of a much more sophisticated operation with double agents in SFPD by the ADL.

Oh, let's all just embrace our new ghetto nation and be done with it. The world we remember is gone, and it's not coming back. The clan guys are the squirming decapitated remains of a culture that doesn't yet realize it's dead.

That has been the Klan's SOP since the 1870s. Corrupt and control. BTW, the first gun control laws were to disarm black freemen back then. I wonder if the progressives get upset when scholastic departments in state run universities are co-opted and taken over by hard left zealots?
