Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has secretly notified Congress that the military intends to transfer six low-level Guantanamo Bay detainees to Uruguay as early as next month. the New York Times reports. "The United States is grateful to our partner, Uruguay, for this significant humanitarian gesture, and appreciates the Uruguayan government's generous assistance as the United States continues its efforts to close the detention facility at Guantanamo," said State Department spokesman Ian Moss. The group would be the largest to depart the prison at once since 2009, and the transfer would reduce the Guantanamo Bay inmate population to 143 -- 72 who are recommended for transfer.

Why won't they try them in a court of law? Because these is ZERO evidence of their guilt. The military is a fraud.

Guantanamo Bay burns through some $900,000 per prisoner annually. Keeping the detention center open will have cost the government $5.2 billion by the end of this year. Probably hundreds of millions in bounty was paid for innocent taxi drivers, farmers and peasants.

They are not criminals. They are combatants held for the duration. That has ended and they are released. Problem?
