The life jackets helped many make it across the Rio Grande River from Reynosa, the Mexican city across the water from Mission, Texas, just west of McAllen. Sources say they come over on rafts ferried by the so-called "coyotes," the human smugglers whose means of transport are rendered useless whenever discovered by the Border Patrol. Many don't make it across the river; multiple sources became emotional when recounting their discoveries of small, lifeless bodies washed up along the riverbank.

It's all going according to plan. The plan is to bust the welfare system to the point that the government can tell people how they should live and what they will receive.

Cable News Finally Asks A Real Migrant Teenager About The Immigration Crisis

Cable news has covered the humanitarian crisis at the Southwest border for the better part of two months, inviting countless lawmakers from both parties to analyze and offer solutions to the unfolding saga. But the guest who appeared on MSNBC's new 10 AM show this Monday, the eponymously titled José Díaz-Balart, added a new voice entirely: that of the immigrant who made the harrowing journey from Honduras to the United States.

Maria, a 17-year-old, paid a coyote to bring her into the United States after her brother was killed by a gang and she was threatened with death if she did not join it. Fighting tears, she described to Díaz-Balart the process of crossing the border as "horrible" and explained that she decided to enter the country "just to save my own life so that I could live my dreams, so I could help my family." Deportation "would be a tragedy, it would be a certain death for me," she added. "Everything that's happened to me in my life, I would just know that that would be the last day."

Maria's story is rarely covered by English-speaking media, but immigrants' personal narratives are regularly featured on Spanish speaking television.

Maria has her first immigration hearing on Thursday morning.

The abortion argument doesn't give you some excuse not to care about certain children. You're still supposed to care about their well-being.

What about the children in the US, our own citizens that have to pay for this Obama made disaster? What about our inner city children, run-down trailer park children, the children of Appalachia?

Sure some immigrant stories are sad, there are sad stories everyday in every country on this planet. There are probably 1 billions children living right now, no one human can truly "care" about all of them. It is impossible and ridiculous.

From the same people who worshipped little Elan whatshisface from Cuba. And sanctified his mother who tried to float him across the Caribbean on an inner tube.

And I won't even ask you what you think of all those Jews who sent their kids out of Germany alone in the 1930s and 1940s.

I am so glad that ICE is busing the Mahados up north, The more they send to New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and the rest of Yankee land the better. Maybe they need a taste of what we have endured in the border states for the last thirty years. Experience is not the best teacher, but it is the most complete.

Before I get the expected knee jerk response from those who live in the celestial city, where righteousness dwells. I am not a racist. I like Hispanics, almost married one a while back, quite a while back to be honest. I also believe that they are going to come whether the government likes it or not.It will be a bad thing or a good thing, it will be what it is, a mass influx of people who speak another language and have another culture moving in. Just like the Irish , German, Italians and Jews before them.
Three things you up north should be prepared for, wadges will be depressed. They work harder for less. Small business is going to have new competition, especially in the building trades and retail outlets. Then of course, your prison population will rise by about 50%, a lot of those coming to your town were criminals in their own countries. They are going to continue their activities here.(think MS13). It doesn't take many of those creeps to cause a bunch of problems. Too bad other people who live and work as best they can, with out victimizing others have to live among this trash and be identified with them. But of course every Italian must be connected with the Mafia, and every southern white man must be a Klucker or have family that is or was.

An Arizona politician mistook a school bus carrying YMCA campers for undocumented immigrants during a protest against the expected arrival of migrant children in Oracle, Arizona on Tuesday.

When a yellow school bus pulled up within sight of the anti-immigrant protesters, Republican congressional candidate and Arizona State Rep. Adam Kwasman leapt towards the bus, writing in a now-deleted tweet with a picture of a school bus, "Bus coming in. This is not compassion. This is the abrogation of the rule of law."

"I was actually able to see some of the children in the buses," Kwasman told Brahm Resnik, an Arizona-based reporter in a video interview. "The fear on their faces…. This is not compassion."

Resnik pointed out that the bus was actually carrying YMCA kids and not "migrants," prompting Kwasman to backpedal his statement and state that "those children were sad too." Kwasman later tweet, "Last tweet not the bus of illegal immigrant children. Thank God." Brahm reported that another Arizona reporter saw that the YMCA campers were laughing and taking pictures of the protesters.

It is not all of a sudden.

And a president certainly is responsible.

In fact, it was the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act that helped redefine how we handled undocumented immigrants from countries other than Mexico and Canada. Under this act the law requires that undocumented children from other countries be handed over to the Department of Health and Human Services to be cared for. They're also given legal counsel and advocates to explain how to seek asylum or other ways to stay in this country.

So when children from Central or South America come here, this act requires that we care for them.

Shocking, I know. Republicans blaming President Obama for something that was caused by the Bush administration.

That hasn't happened since a Republican tried to blame President Obama for our troops being out of Iraq.

www.forwardprogressives.com

Another interesting fact that you will promptly ignore:

As part of an effort to stem the flood of children caught trying to cross the nation's southwest border, President Obama is trying to change a 2008 law that dictates how the federal government handles those immigrant children in order to speed up their deportations.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/ news/nation/2014/07/02/ immigration-obama-deportation- children-border/11915723/

As for why now?

It takes a while for the word to get out about these laws but it does eventually get out.

I guess you think all speeders and seatbelt scofflaws and jaywalkers should also be thrown in jail then?

Yeah, watching the clowns contort themselves to be anti whatever a democrat does and attempting to justify it is fun to watch.

There has been in poverty and violent countries for decade, so why the uptick?

Do a google on Human Trafficking Law 2008. That makes it harder to deport children from any country but Canada and Mexico that are here illegally. But again, that's Obama's fault too I guess.
