Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

John Michael Farren, who served as a White House lawyer in both Bush administrations, was convicted of attempted murder on Friday. Prosecutors alleged that Farren choked his wife, Mary Margaret Farren, and beat her with a metal flashlight until she lost consciousness at their multimillion-dollar home in New Canaan, Connecticut, in January 2010. She managed to flee the house with her two young daughters. The attack occurred two days after she had served him with divorce papers, authorities said. Farren was deputy White Counsel during President George W. Bush's second term and undersecretary for international trade in the Commerce Department under the elder Bush; he also served as deputy manager for Bush's failed 1992 re-election campaign.

Typical Bushie, another fail. Probably thought she would greet him with flowers and chocolates.

She slept under the same roof as a lawyer she had just recently served divorce papers?

She sounds almost as crazy as the thug she married.

If Phil Hartman taught us anything it's don't tell your spouse you want a divorce and then go to sleep.

When asked to comment Bush quipped, "Farren, you are doing a heckuva job!"

What John did to Mary is tame compared to what Bush did to Iraq. But Justice is meted out in accordance with consideration of the wealth and power of the accused.

This is pretty good for a member of the Bush admin. Even though he failed, he actualy tried to do his own killing and didn't any of the wrong peole in the process. A typical member of the admin would have sent 10 other guys to do it with an inexplicably inept plan, getting 2 of them and 5 innocent bystanders killed in the process while allowing the wife to escape.

Bush Admin Lawyer Tried to Kill Wife...

...He found out she voted for John L. Kerry.

Man tries to kill younger wife, why? Wife gets $28 million out of the divorce. How much did he have? Once again the media tells one side of a story but never the whole story. Obviously attempted murder is always a no no. But what were the circumstances leading to the marriage failure. When the media decided to publish this story likely for their biased political and gender agenda, they should tell the whole two sided story which always exists.

^I can't think of any reason why it would be remotely acceptable to behave like Farren. Yes the media is bias. Yes the DR libs got a little chubby when they read this story. Does't matter.

A minor figure in the Bush administration tries to kills a soon to be x-wife, like that thought has never crossed a man who been divorced. Ome question, Why is this news? A lawyer in the White house is like finding a kid with a GED in an infantry squad. Lot of them, and most lawyers I have known have no respect for the law at all. Certainly not the laws ageist the use of certain party favors. So. some one who got a government pay check did something criminal= stupid. Hells bells, if we looked that hard, we would see little else on this site.
