Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, July 13, 2014

A child in Mississippi who was thought to have been cured of HIV with aggressive drug treatment immediately after birth is now showing signs of infection with the virus, federal health officials announced Thursday -- a serious setback to hopes for a cure for AIDS. Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, a leading AIDS expert who is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases was asked how he felt about Thursday's announcement. "It's obviously disappointing, but I was not surprised. I've been chasing these reservoirs for the last 25 years, and I know this virus has a really uncanny way of hiding itself."

From what I've read, AIDS hides deep all over the body. The only 'cure' would be something that goes everywhere, which rules out individual medicines, although leaves open a cocktail that has components for pretty much every part of the body.

It is currently science fiction, but a 'counter-virus' is what I expect is needed. Scary stuff as the EXACT same science is tiny step from bio warfare agents.
