Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, July 12, 2014

George Zimmerman has no job, no home, no income but spends $100 a month on vacations and $200 a month on psychological counseling, according to a financial affidavit he recently filed in his divorce case. Zimmerman, who shot unarmed teen Trayvon Martin to death on Feb. 26, 2012, but was acquitted of murder, listed his total assets at $14,000 -- most of that is his 2008 Honda pickup. His debts total $2.5 million, most owed to criminal defense attorneys Mark O'Mara and Don West.

Zimmerman's brother Robert Jr. said the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer is homeless and moves from place to place, sleeping in the homes of friends and supporters.

It's time for the patriotic gun-nuts that donated to the first Zimmerman online appeal, to step-up to the plate for round two. Just dig a little deeper in your pockets. Don't forget that charity benefits the giver, more than the receiver.

Plenty of jobs in Orlando--Disney, Universal Studios, Waffle House, road crew picking up dead gators and raccoons on I-4, washing windshields at traffic lights on Sand Lake Road, etc. What happened to the pair he had when he got out of his car with a gun, to confront a hooded teen? Stop whining, change your name and get a job...

No, guilt has its price that always must be paid whether in the criminal justice system or in the cosmic fate of karma.

Zimmerman has his life; Martin doesn't. And if Trayvon had been left alone, he was no threat to George whatsoever.

That's what is truly sad.

Unless Zimmerman is lying about his income, he never made that money from the eBay painting auction. I think it's likely the bidder was a hoax and never paid up.

After listening to a Q&A interview on CSPAN with Matt Taibbi (The Divide) we should all be asking why Jamie Dimon and Richard Fuld and others of their ilk aren't now saying "I've got no home, no job and spend $100 a month on vacations".

Zimmerman was a typical target that the media uses to divide us and keep us from being focused on the real evil and corruption that involves billions of people and trillions of dollars and those who own the media. They want the target to be kept on the little people instead of those that need exposed as a media target.

Zimmerman is likely a PTSD victim of our lying mob media. Others such as Helen Thomas, etc have found themselves on the wrong side of this gang of predatory bullies, and they have no defense.

The MSM are predatory bullies to all except the real predatory bullies, like those of Wall St who are in the club of high finance. Have you seen them hounding Corzine or Dimon or Fuld like they do the little people? Odd isn't it?

#23 | Posted by Robson at 2014-07-13 07:29 AM | Reply | Flag:

So the media is lying and Zimmerman didn't kill Trayvon Martin? This is good news!

Why isn't he signing autographs at gun shows?

Even if he didn't do that, you'd think that some gun rights advocate would have offered to hire him at his business even if it was unrelated to guns. He's a hero to a lot of people in the Fox News crowd. I'll bet he has gotten offers.

Zimmerman not working at all suggests to me that he doesn't really want employment.

#24 | Posted by rcade at 2014-07-13 09:07 AM | Reply | Flag:

PTSD is stress related mental incapacitation that some are more susceptible to than others.

Zimmerman was a nobody that the media decided to turn into a pariah that millions of people would hate, but before he was found by a jury - not guilty. Think that hate wouldn't ultimately affect one's psyche? The hypocrisy of an intolerant bigoted left is something their mouthpiece MSM rarely mentions, but they perpetrate it well.

In case it isn't obvious, I don't have much time for the corporate consolidated media that is used to pull strings instead of informing and outing corruption.

"Sucks worse to be Trayvon Martin."

No, it sucks worse to be his parents. Trayvon himself isn't likely to be complaining.

Frankly, Robson does have a point. Not that George was the picture of stability before all this.

Which is why it sucks to be him. He would probably be in college today like his big brother, enjoying the LeBron news.

Frankly, Robson does have a point.

The media didn't hold a meeting one day and decide to turn Zimmerman into a pariah. It became a media sensation because of the circumstances, the lack of an arrest and the 911 audio that seemed to be an unarmed teen screaming for his life right up until the second he was shot. It also helped that Martin's family hired lawyers who spun the narrative in early weeks by only releasing angelic photos of him in his young teens, knowing that if Americans saw the 17-year-old Martin, many would think he was a scary black person who probably got what was coming to him, even though he was still very much a kid at only 158 pounds on a 5-foot-11 frame.

The evil lunatics in Tallahassee can pass "stand your ground" laws but they can't force the citizens of the state to approve of the dangerous animals that use those laws as a defense when they murder unarmed boys. Zimmerman deserves to be penniless and homeless for the rest of his miserable existence. Trevon Martin is still dead.

Rcade - I have a supposition on the media and it is different from yours, and neither of us will ever know the real answer. You see I believe the now consolidated media of 2014 does have meetings where not always but sometimes top management decides what message to push and what to cover up. That wasn't true before media ownership and consolidation was put into a few good ole boy hands.

Even if we did know for certain it would never be proven or published. It would be as if one actually knew for certain that Area 51 had aliens from outer space and 9-11 was an inside job. The media has purposely made it their agenda to structure all conspiracies (beyond the establishment word) to be wrong and inherently politically incorrect. If it doesn't come from their mouths or news it can't be true.

Um, no. He was a Neighborhood Watch wannabee. The actual local NW wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot rifle.

i was outside the club one night & there was this tough but all right looking Latino guy, i don't think spoke English. So outside he was with his 2 friends, and they were looking at me like they wanted to kill me or beat me. i said, "i do not think i'm any better than you." And their hostile looks just vanished and we went out separate ways.

Trayvon Martin was not raised with good manners. There, i said it. When Zimmerman approached him about his business, which was not cool, Martin responded with hostility (and possibly threats of bodily harm, and possibly violence) just like a good thug SHOULD.

Whatever Zimmerman's case was, we know (CBS?) manipulated the 911 call to make Z sound (more) like a bigot, convicting him in the media, when that wasn't what he said. Then after the trial, we learn Z is unstable, a cheater and a wife beater, inappropriate brandisher of firearm, etc. He should not have been walking around that night like Matt Dillon, protecting the neighborhood, because he wasn't and isn't stable.

But i do not believe Martin was an innocent little lamb in this; not that he deserved to die at the hands of a wanne-be tough guy. He simply was taught no manners, no de-escalation temperament, and i encounter people like that every day; it is always unpleasant.

This was not a black & white case; i mean no moral purity by either party, not race.

Certain irresponsible gun owners are going to like this but I think the burden has to be on the guy who is armed. The way I see it, you can either be a tough guy who creates confrontational situations or you can carry a gun. Using common sense, we should not allow people to be both. If you carry a gun and know that you are going to use it if you get into a confrontation, then you are looking to shoot someone if you create a confrontation.

I agree with you that most likely Martin did not react well to being confronted and asked where he was going, etc by someone who had no right to question him. But everyone knows that if you bother random people on the street, you're going to run into people who are not going to be happy about it. So why would you arm yourself and then go out of your way to create situations that could turn confrontational unless you want to shoot someone eventually? If you are solely worried about protecting yourself, you're not going up to strangers and bothering them. IMO, that Zimmerman was eventually going to shoot someone was inevitable because eventually he was going to bother someone who was going to kick his ass in response to Zimmerman's harassment.

No one cares because the man is a detestable cancer. Just because a prosecutor was unable to prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt doesn't change the fact that he is a gross and contemptible human being.
