Sheldon Adelson, Warren Buffett and Bill Gates: American citizens are paying 535 people to take care of the legislative needs of the country. We are getting shortchanged. Here's an example: On June 10, an incumbent congressman in Virginia lost a primary election in which his opponent garnered only 36,105 votes. Immediately, many Washington legislators threw up their hands and declared that this one event would produce paralysis in the United States Congress for at least five months. In particular, they are telling us that immigration reform -- long overdue -- is now hopeless. Americans deserve better than this. The three of us vary in our politics and would differ also in our preferences about the details of an immigration reform bill. But we could without doubt come together to draft a bill acceptable to each of us. We hope that fact holds a lesson: You don't have to agree on everything in order to cooperate on matters about which you are reasonably close to agreement. It's time that this brand of thinking finds its way to Washington.

"The progressive American in me agreed with much of his arguments. The Zionist in me was scared by its premise."

Isn't this what psychologist's call 'Cognitive Dissonance' ?

If these three stooges were honest, they would just admit they are greedy capitalists who crave cheap labor at the expense of American citizens.

Adelson, Buffett, Gates unite in order to promote immigration reform which is the easiest way for all three of them to make more money.

I ask you, what is the point of crafting immigration legislation which will not be enforced?

Totally misleading title. In fact, Rcade should change the title. They are not "uniting for amnesty". They are advocating giving more visas to educated and wealthy people who want to stay in this country legally. They are also excoriating Congress for not being willing to address the issue.

The one thing they without a doubt got right is that we are paying these buffoons to provide leadership and not quibble like infants. A great deal of congress does act like infants most of the time today or yammers like the senile old men they are.

There are 330 million of us....soon to be 400 million based upon some projections due not to the desires and fertility of citizens, but instead due to illegal and legal immigrants.

What Adelson, Buffet and Gates think about anything should mean no more than what any other 3 Americans think. It should, but in our corrupt nation it's only what the wealthy think that sets policy and such policy is always to make them wealthier and us poorer.

The U.S. needs zero population growth. Any source of population growth should be opposed, legal or otherwise.

George Carlin said it correct that the politicians are puppets in place to make us think we have some control. The establishment elites want more bodies and cheap labor regardless of how it hurts the environment and American standard of living.

We've had decades of leadership that failed to do their most basic functions. Their job was honest government, protect our borders, serve the USA people, keep our economy and treasury from being plundered by other countries. It happened because they are mostly compromised by those of great wealth and by lobbyists for other countries.

If the U.S. wants less immigration from the south, it should stop dumping subsidized agricultural products on those countries and bankrupting native farmers. It should also end its War on Some Drugs.

Why don't these three guys hammer out a policy proposal, then?

Opening the borders and allowing the third-world to pour in will defeat cancer, i.e., White privilege.

article four section 4

"The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them from invasion."

just thought I'd provide a reminder of what the constitution says and what this president lied about when he swore to protect and defend. Looks like it's going to take more of this picture. what ever it takes.

These three rich white guys get behind e verify and then we can talk.
