Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

We said that things couldn't get much worse after the sub par presidency of George W. Bush.
But, President Barack Obama's administration has us yearning for the good ol' days when we were at least winning battles in Iraq. The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal polls show that Americans are giving Obama lower marks than in 2006 when Iraq was going poorly for Bush and a tepid response to Hurricane Katrina sunk Bush's ratings. It's not that popularity polling should be the final or even best measure of a president. There is that old saw that points out there's a difference between doing what is right and what is popular. For us, though, it's the number of bungled or blown policies in the Obama administration which lead us to believe Obama has earned every bit of an abysmal approval rating.

One of the most damming observations:
- For years now, reports by watchdog organizations and journalists that have shown despite Obama's promises of being more transparent, his administration has actually cracked down on journalists, spied on citizens and retaliated against those who leak information to the press. In fact, the Obama administration has become so opaque and difficult that it has earned the reputation of being far worse than Nixon, the disgraced president whose terrible clampdown of information led to federal law being changed for more transparency.

I don't like Obama and I agree with much of their criticism. But the above quote is just pure retardation.

If you're looking back fondly on the days when Americans were dying in Iraq over false pretenses, with no plan or no national purpose to be served, you either hate America or you're a friggin idiot. Doesn't matter how many battles were won, every death and crippling injury suffered by our people over there was a horrible waste.

It takes an adult to admit you were wrong. We've got about 2 years left. Hope we make it to the next change. Kudos!

What indicator you know of that says we won't? Unemployment is down, stock market up, housing values growing slowly, we're out of Iraq, moving out of Afghanistan. I'd say we are in much better shape than when Obama took over.

This is how otherwise *smart* liberals get carried away on the band wagon and do stupid things (like endorse Obama) because they oh-so-badly want their pleasant fantasies to be true.

It's just another way of saying that Obama's administration is the worst since WWII. Worse than that of GWB. They're saying that going back to GWB would be an improvement and it would be, tremendously. And that's quite a feat to do a worse job that GWB but somehow Obama pulled it off.

Obama's s crewups combined don't come close to Bush's top 3. Bush is so much worse than Obama it isn't even close. Iraq fiasco, 9/11, financial meltdown.

Unemployment is up...... forget your BLS statistical hand waving. 47.7% supporting more and more people, expecting government or family entitlements.
Stock Market is up because people are putting money into, since its supported by the Fed, than put it to work for the middle class.

The Middle East is now more of a quagmire than it was before GWB left office, is that possible? Its only a matter of time before a major war breaks out there, and we will get sucked into it..

The border is really an open border, or just a suggestion. The middle class wages are tumbling down under the load of new workers. The government is screwing up every possible way in the Internet security domain. While you might read that as its Obama's fault, I am only stating we are in worse shape than before, Obama has done nothing to solve the real issues of this country.

We got paid, and so does the rest of the fascist media.

Corrected for accuracy.
