Edilsa Cano was fleeing sexual assault, kidnapping and death threats -- all from her own family -- when she left her village in Guatemala at 16. Now 21, she sees her own desperation in the tens of thousands of Central American children, some as young as 4, flooding the U.S. border with Mexico. Before the 1,000-mile journey was over, she would sleep, six to a bed, with strangers also migrating through Mexico, run away from a violent coyote , or human smuggler, in Arizona and then wander, lost in the desert and looking for help. "I don't really know how I got here," Cano said. "God is with every single child that crosses the border."

God is with every child to insure the children certain death. Because after all, one thing that God loves to do, is kill children.

If you don't believe me read the Bible. Every other word is kill and every other other word is children/child/infant.

Before you say "that's the old testament that doesn't count" Jesus has stated several times that the old testament is the divine word of God and is true in every way.

You know how to make an atheist? Make them read the bible.

I'm not Christian or Jewish or Muslim but I have read the Bible. Granted it is full of some nasty stuff but you have obviously read a different Bible than I did.

If you are going to argue against it at least point to some reference to back up your claim. Otherwise... your spew is no different than the religious whack jobs that come in and blather generalities about "libruls" and atheists.

But really even if one of the common translations try reading some of the newer ones and lighten up a bit. I highly recommend

These children avoid all Mexican authorities because they are exploiting them no differently than coyote smugglers and other gangs. Sickening.

That was a terrifying article.

Those patriot militia who shoot water bottles should fear retaliation.

US communities need to rise up against the extremist border "patrol".

The United States invented these militias in every South American and Central American nation. They are our responsibility along with the repercussions of the displacement they are deliberately causing.

There is no rest - it's our collective fault. America, home of the slave.

Matthew 6:25-26 English Standard Version (ESV)

25 "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Apparently god thinks some people are of less value than a bird. And he lets them die.

Heres a story from 2008

Sadly, every one of the more than 40 stations we went to were vandalized and the water emptied out while the containers were slashed by a knife," Morones wrote in an e-mail in mid-June. He noted that the sabotage was discovered immediately after June 14 -- the same weekend Campo Minutemen had announced in a local newspaper plans to hold a reunion. Morones told East County Magazine (ECM) he views the Minutemen as "a destructive vigilante group."

Morones said his group's activities are legal, done with permission of landowners including various government agencies. While instances of vandalized water stations have occurred in the past, the frequency of such vandalism has increased since the Minuteman Project nationally was established in 2004, Morones said.

Asked if Minutemen were involved in damaging water stations, Campo Minuteman founder Britt Craig, aka Kingfish, told ECM, "I have no personal knowledge about that." He denounced as felons those who aid illegal immigrants by knowingly providing sanctuary, jobs, or housing. But he said, "Putting water out in the desert, it's humanitarian…That's not a felony," he added, noting that water could assist stranded travels or immigrants returning to Mexico after finding harsh conditions in the desert or mountains.

Asked his view of the humanitarian aid provided by Border Angels, U.S. Border Patrol Agent J. Espinoza at the Campo Border Patrol Station replied, "They're human beings. I don't want to see anybody die. A lot of them are over their heads."

Im not confused. Gods killed many people for stupid reasons. But hes just pretend so its not really a big deal. ZED your a tool. Jesus and your pastor love you for it. Be sure to drop some coin in the collection plate.

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!" The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces. (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)

And he smote of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of Jehovah, he smote of the people seventy men, `and' fifty thousand men; and the people mourned, because Jehovah had smitten the people with a great slaughter. And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God?
and to whom shall he go up from us? (1Samuel 6:19-20 ASV)

Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Strike me!" But the man refused to strike the prophet. Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And sure enough, when he had gone, a lion attacked and killed him. (1 Kings 20:35-36 NLT)

People who try to make a point using stories they don't believe ever happened are somehow less than sincere.

But then, according to those same stories, anyone who ceases to exit on the physical/material plane is instantly in the presence of God on the spiritual plane, a better place in their reckoning, the same God in whom the poster does not believe.

So, he has no point anyway about the horror of deaths that didn't happen, according to him. He's pointless.

Water bottles set out without prior knowledge of the BLM and Border Patrol are illegal.

Maps are spread in Mexico showing where the legal water stations are. The BLM and Border Patrol respect these sanctuaries, I know of no damage by outsiders.

So suddenly Men are to blame for Severe Weather, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Asteroids, Disease and Death ? We are just figuring out how all this stuff works and can barely predict some of it. How can Men be to blame for all the suffering? Granted we are not helping Matters sometimes and we should be faulted for that when we know better but, Men did not start this fire.

"We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
But when we are gone
It will still burn on and on and on and on
And on and on and on and on..."

No, I wouldn't hold Man accountable for any of those things, although exceptions to the rule can surely be found.

Let's just hold Man, and Woman, accountable for one thing for the sake of argument----Preventing the suffering caused individually and to families through stepping outside their relationships sexually.

Seems like a simple assignment. We can start now, and then see where Man is in a week-----Or in ten years, if you like. Hell, make it a century. Zed III, my grandchild, can get the results from any of your grandkids who choose to come here.

Agreed! But...I did not need a God to tell me this.

Being Ethical means Right Speech, Right Action and Right Livelihood.

We must take care in our speech, our actions, and our daily lives to do no harm to others and to cultivate wholesomeness in ourselves. Which of course includes those who we are having relationships with...sexual or otherwise.

Another Human told me this. A very Enlightened one but a Human none the less. Again...no God required for this achievement or understanding. Just a little discipline. And you are right. It would go a long way to healing the hurt in the world. The Leader of a Christianity, the Pope has a lot of healing to do. I am happy to see he admits this and is facing up to it.

I see you seek the path to enlightenment Grasshopper.

You have leveled up!

Oh...And when I say Men I do mean Men and Women. I probably should have said Mankind to be more clear. Though I admit. I am biased and I do place most of he blame for that particular form of suffering on the Men as we have been ruling the roost for so long. But, women do have a Big part to play. So I do stand corrected.

Bonus points Grasshopper!

This took me a while to care about replying to you - "freaks" is absolutely unnecessary, but you are fascist-loving scum so I suppose that's simply par.

Try looking up the correct terminology, counselor - "water station", "minutemen" and you might find a specific correlation, such as a phone app that helps people crossing the desert locate water. You should also search the correct places such as Stormwatch forums and the variety of anti-blogs.

VIDEO: Border Patrol agents vandalize life-saving water in the Arizona desert

Water Stations for Illegal Immigrants Being Vandalized, Drained

Illegal immigrants entering into the United States through the Mexican border have a new foe to contend with. Water stations and the signs that guide people to them are apparently being vandalized.

The volunteers at "Humane Borders" are reporting that the "blue flags," which show where the water stations are, are being removed. Additionally, the tanks holding water for those daring to make the cross are also being shot, or otherwise drained.

The volunteers are saying that the people are "innocent, and merely seeking a better life." Others disagree. "This is...aiding and abetting criminal activity," one said. The volunteers, however, remain firm. "We're going to continue to do this."

Here's an interesting forum discussion:
Re: Did you know we allow "Water Stations" for --------

I might be able to shed some light on this subject. I am the president of Water Station, a non-profit group that establishes and maintains emergency water sites in California.

What we do not do is guide or help anyone in crossing the border, provide assistance in finding work, shelter or hide anyone who has crossed the border. What we do is leave water along some of the desert trails that people use.

We have permits from the BLM and California State Parks, as well as other agencies and landowners with jurisdiction, and we maintain an excellent working relationship with the U.S. Border Patrol. We just completed our eleventh year working in San Diego & Imperial Counties.

It amuses me when I see the hypocrisy of people who claim to believe in Conservative principles, but who advocate vandalizing our stations. One of the main tenets of Conservatism is a respect for private property and yet here they are advocating the destruction of our private property.

If you have any questions (even one you might think are difficult), I'd be happy to answer them.

Ben

Proof of general allegations of vandalism by unknown persons provides nothing in support of the specific allegation. Get it?

BTW, I've seen the general vandalism stories including the one about the BP agents.

The news doesn't cover this topic very well and few cases are brought into a legal definition of terrorism, but that's the gist of my interpretation of their behavior. I'm not claiming that every patriot or militia are doing this, but rather mocking the sincerity of endangerment felt by those who are fighting to ensure children die of dehydration. That's it.

I was a volunteer with HumaneBorders in 2006, this is not something that I saw or was ever aware of. I doubt the veracity of this report.

The only case this would happen is if someone put up a tower without BLM or BP negotiations that this was a sanctuary spot, thus illegal immigrants would not be pursued, and would be ignored.

Yes, and eating involves food at some level. The discussion was really about Man's intrinsic powerlessness to change anything meaningful concerning himself, alone, but no matter.

You found a nice man once and decided you liked what he said and had faith in him. Well, that's wonderful without being impressive.

"Nice", "Like", and "Faith" are three words that in themselves could engender a lifetime of debate. You never read enough anthroplogy, I think.

Its all shifting sands. I'm glad you've found your flavor of ice cream. Asserting that its anything more than that will just make you a target, of people like you.
