Memphis Zoo officials have banned a woman who climbed over a barrier to the enclosure where lions are kept and tried to feed them cookies. Zoo patrons saw her jump the barrier and sing to the animals. Inside the barrier, only wire separated the woman from the animals.

If they let her climb in, they won't have to ban her.

"Zoo patrons said they saw her jump the barrier and sing to the animals"

She was singing songs by the dead-beat dad, child molester and draft dodging COWARD Ted Nugent, She should be charged with cruelty to animals IMHO

I have to admit to wishing they had tiger petting zoos. I mean, Tyson owned a couple and liked to play with them, and he was a pretty balanced, down to earth dude. What could possibly go wrong?

LAWSUIT is why the zoo cannot take the cavalier attitude toward letting mentally ill people climb into enclosures with big cats. Young children could have seen a horrific scene; which i believe the Romans relished.

It appears you can't fix stupid, but you can ban it from the premises.
Some years ago a polar bear keeper at the Cincinnati Zoo wanted to coax a bear from its cage by offering it grapes--a favored treat. Hijinks ensued, resulting in the bear biting off the keeper's arm--at the bicep.
