The U.S. men's national team was less than a minute from clinching a place in the round of 16 in the World Cup when Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo made a perfect crossing pass to Varela, who headed it past keeper Tim Howard for a 2-2 draw. Jermaine Jones and Clint Dempsey scored goals for the U.S. following an early Nani goal for Portugal.

I've never seen so much flopping in my life. They all act like they got hit by a car.

Portugal earned the tie. Nice header at the end. We didn't finish it out.

What a crusher. 25 seconds from the win and Ronaldo makes a perfect pass.

The soccer euphoria is about the media trying to globalize the sheep and shove it down our throats as serfs soon to be required to pay for soccer stadiums, and provide a base for media advertising propaganda. We get stuck paying and they always reap the rewards gain.

It is all intended to ultimately make the owners of the media even richer than their war profiteering and Wall Street banker cousins and oligarchs. Money, greed and avarice is their god, and most others are supposed to give up lifestyle and die for it.

It was a tie.

Nobody won and nobody lost.

All we have to do is beat Germany now. But, even if we don't we still have a chance. weird.

Stopping at a tie is a strange concept for us.

There are subtleties to the sport and the point structure I am just beginning to understand.
