A mugshot of a Northern California man arrested on felony weapons charges has gone viral on social media after being shared on the Facebook page of the Stockton Police Department. Jeremy Meeks, 30, was arrested with four other men in an investigation of shootings and robberies in the Weston Ranch area of Stockton. Four firearms were confiscated. Officer Joseph Silva called Meeks "one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area." One Facebook commenter responded, "Momma, I'm in love with a criminal."

Women who date men with face or neck tattoos deserve what will inevitably happen.

Always look out for the tattoos under the eye. Usually those have to be earned.

Are you saying people with tattoos are guilty of something?

Or women are only "damaged, immature women with serious issues would ever want an incarcerated Alpha thug"?

I just think women are attracted to what they are attracted to, and there is an evolutionary reason why....

What do you think of this statement .....

"When looking for a life partner, my advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier."

Are they guilty of something? Maybe. They're definitely MORE LIKELY to be guilty of something, either now or in the future.

But hey, if you want to date someone who does things (like tatooing their face) that scream "I have horrible judgement and don't plan for the future." then that's your choice, just don't cry or act surprised when he sells your jewelry for meth or knocks some of your teeth out in a reckless rage someday.

As for evolution, people are always saying being cruel and selfish is just "human nature". But aggressive wolves were bred into obedient poodles through generations of breeding the more obedient cute ones instead of the more aggressive ones. If women would stop pursuing and boning violent aggressive men, the entire human race would become more peaceful and intelligent.

It's really just biology. We were cave people for a LONG time and only civilized for a comparatively short while.

It was beneficial for females to seek out the biggest baddest mate for thousands of years because it gave their offspring the greatest chance of survival, so they have a genetic predisposition for that.

Just like it was beneficial for guys to seek out the sluttiest easiest women, because it gave them the maximum number of offspring, so we have a genetic predisposition for that. We like big ----- because they fed our offspring, and curvy hips because they imply fertility.

We are a product of thousands of years of genetic natural selection. We can override it with our intellect, but it doesn't mean the urges aren't buried deep in our inborn genetics.

What I find interesting is that it's considered ok for a woman to say she wants a tall man, and socially that's fine for her to say, even though she's just expressing ancient genetic urges. If a man says he wants a ---------- ----, he's considered a sleazebag, even though he's just expressing similar genetic urges.

Seeking nice or intellectual guys might be smart for women today, but that is a relatively new development. If more of them COULD override their attraction to macho ------, the world would be a much better place. Less war, less violence, and more geniuses to help the species.

Do you see yourself in the song "She will be loved" by Maroon 5?

If so, you are not a "nice guy", you are just a different variety of sack of crap. The spineless kind who thinks women are a prize to be won, owed to you i you just sit, listen and "understand" them long enough.

Evil is more attractive to women than spineless so they get laid more; but let there be no bones about it. "Nice guys" are just as bad for women as "evil sacks of crap".

Stop objectifying women.

I wanna assert, rhetorically, that the Dog has changed less than the Man has during their relationship.
The Dog is capable of surviving in his environment; Man has to modify his environment to survive.
Man has been the taker; Dog has been the giver. Dog has shepherded Man, taught him to hunt, protected Man and his family from terrifying predators, heedless of himself, given their bodies for warmth and even for food, in exchange for the kicks and collars and castrations, and today's most diabolical punishment the simian mind can devise - isolated confinement.
The suburban backyard.

Go pet your dog! Let him come in for a while!

Oh I think the tattoos make him ugly.

If so, you are not a "nice guy", you are just a different variety of sack of crap.

It is true that some guys have an exaggerated sense of how sensitive and respectful they are. But you make it sound like every young male who is sensitive and respectful is spineless. It is possible to be assertive enough to find a partner without being a macho lout who gets women because he treats them badly.

We're wandering into Elliot Rodger territory here. I wish I could tell lonely introverted wretches like that to stop thinking of women as beautiful unknowable aliens who bestow their attention on men (other than you) for inexplicable or perverse reasons. Stop putting them on a pedestal, get to know them as people and put yourself into social situations where you're part of a group that includes men and women in your age range. And for god's sake stop obsessing over pick-up artist techniques, except where they boost your own self-confidence.

Some women will chase after guys like handsome mugshot. But others will be wise enough to avoid men whose physical attractiveness is paired with a bunch of traits that would make them terrible partners. Especially as they move beyond their early 20s/college years.

So, if electrical interference affects behavior, and the eye is basically an electrical device, and a physiological condition arises which changes the proximity of the eye's main data cable to the reasoning part of the brain, does it not follow that this eye condition may predicate erratic behavior. Some of them seem to be unconsciously rolling their eyes upwards constantly, maybe they are really repositioning the optic nerve lower, a bit farther from the prefrontal cortex, making them feel a little less disturbed.
A breakthrough idea is needed, we can't go on building huger prisons and treacherous areas filled with malfunctioning persons. I am confident that someday we will figure this out, and the solution will be embarrassingly simple.

Hard to tell on the self medicating. Easy to assume he is though, could also only have had a few drinks and is enjoying the atmosphere.

Is why I don't usually trust cold reading people. Everyone is different and you can often misinterpret someone without a baseline to go against.

I definitely agree. I'm sort of sacrificing the individual here for the sake of the idea, not ending at observation of physical traits, which are naturally going to have variation and multiple causes for similar manifestation, but aimed at reconsidering the nature of volitional actions at large; most of what we do is done under a compulsion of one sort or another, so maybe many actions that we presume to be completely voluntary are in fact compelled in a way we don't yet understand.

About the self-medicating, a few drinks would qualify in that sense. Whatever he craves to make him feel less pressured, while unaware that he may really be compensating for something specific.

That will get you up to date to at least the 1950s, give or take a decade - lol.

Yes, I realize that these ideas have been explored previously, and we are told, debunked, but many of these people were smarter and more educated that either of us, and the soft ground they were traversing on the frontier of human thought has many footing hazards. I suspect that we may have thrown out some baby with the bath water, many times for political rather than scientific reasons.
If we can be so assuredly debunky about past honest efforts, how come our results are so crappy?

Ok, I see that the debunking was scientific, in at least the parameters that were measured at the time. But did they measure, for example,
the clearance between the optic nerve and the front of the brain? Or examine EEG readings with reference to stress and toxins? Did they know anything at all about the amygdala, or any of the number of still-mysterious circuits in the brain?

So while their metrics were proven faulty, I think their approach, accumulating statistics and searching for correlations, still makes sense.
I think there's a valid parameter somewhere, and when we find it we not only be able to identify it but fix it as well.

It is my belief that, as more attention is given to the mechanisms that govern human behavior, it will increasingly be seen that the concept of " free will is an illusion, and the fallacy of a basic premise of the judicial system will become more apparent. Certainly, the determination of the sequence of the human genome and the assignment of function to these genes is having a dramatic effect on our understanding of the role of genetics in human behavior. Similarly, developments in imaging techniques, allowing changes in neuronal activity to be correlated with thought processes, is affecting our thinking about relationships between the functioning of the mind and chemical activity in the brain. Here I propose that the time is opportune for society to reevaluate our thinking concerning the concept of free will, as well as the policies of the criminal justice system. "
