Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, June 19, 2014

Polls show the medical marijuana initiative, which qualified for the ballot in January, passing in Florida by a wide margin. Right-wing casino magnate Sheldon Adelson has donated $2.5 million to oppose that measure through a ballot initiative committee run by a big-dollar Florida Republican activist. On the other side, trial lawyer John Morgan, who owns the Orlando law firm that employs former governor Charlie Crist (D), has financed most of the pro-medical marijuana side's $3.1 million campaign. Adelson, the chief executive of Las Vegas Sands, spent an estimated $150 million on federal races in 2012 and more than $750,000 to support the Florida GOP over the past two elections.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett (R) is toast and there is nothing that Sheldon Adelson's money can do to change that. Too bad, Corbett did the right stuff but the Dems did a superb hatchet job on him from the beginning.

adelson is a zionist. anything that comes from his snakes tongue is bound to be bad for america.

remember a few months back when some future gop presidential hopefuls (like jeb) spent a weekend in vegas grovelling at this pig's feet?

wonder who he is gonna give his "defender of israel" award to this year?

the sooner we can get his and other zionists' pernicious influence out of american politics the better.

Why are we still debating over weather or not marijuana should be legalized? I trust it way more than any synthetic concoction the pharmaceutical companies come up with and its side effects are minimal.
My son has ADHD bad and just to keep him from getting expelled from school he was on several different meds over the years. The side effects broke my heart. Now he is grown and self medicates with pot. He does not abuse it and is a functioning, tax paying member of society.

Follow the money, want a bet he has a stock in the prison system in one way or another. Don't make medical pot legal, just completely de-criminalize it and be done with it.

The only people who really liked prohibition were bribed cops and the mafia that made a ton of money off it. Yes there are always a few additional useful idiot exceptions.

Sheldon is simply trying to save the state's restaurant business. Imagine all those retirees taking a 420 break, then heading out to the early-bird special at restaurants. Those buffet lines would be ravaged daily...

Well, at least he spent his own money. Cannabis use is so widespread and a majority of us know the effects. Most people believe the laws ageist it are crap. I was curious while I was in the ME why more people didn't smoke it, it was not ageist any law where I was at. What the IA soldiers told me was that smoking hash was the pastime of old people. In other words, uncool.

Society at large needs to become more involved and know the demographic picture of gambling profiteers, Hollywood porn producers, child porn producers, the wealthiest supporters of each Party, drug profiteers, lobbyists for other countries, Wall Street bankers who plundered America, Federal Reserve, and Medicare profiteers who seem to never get prosecuted.

The media elites tend to portray the problem as a minority of poor rural red necks as the problem, when they are mostly the victims.

If we had a consolidated media that served America and that was willing to investigate and report beyond the tribe, the outcome might be more objective.

Sheldon only profits from alcohol, gambling and pornography to keep America's children safe.
