Internet service providers can't give customer names, addresses and phone numbers to police without a search warrant, Canada's top court has ruled in a unanimous decision released this morning. The decision upholds Canadians' right to privacy and anonymity in their online activities. It also means parts of the cyberbullying and digital privacy bills that are currently before the House of Commons may be unconstitutional.

Harper really should give the constitution a quick read through before his next attempt at writing legislation. The new prostitution legislation is also doomed to a similar fate down the road.

Canadian government has been trampled by the same "elitist" societal element and security obsessed sect of political elites such as Bloomberg and Feinstein, that constantly put forth the need for massive security for the aristocrats and supposed elites, at the expense of the privacy and rights of the masses and little people ...just as in the USA.

The little people are typically the victims of oppression and the elites the instigators...whether it be Canada, USA, China or Nigeria.

The need is for a few powerful non-corrupt officials in government to recognize and prevent the oppression.

Our hope in the USA for a reversal in such intrusive un-Constitutional privacy intrusive polices comes from the common sense of Europeans and Canadians that are not yet as corporate and corrupt.

Sargent Preston would not approve of this soft on crime ruling. An he would probably still get the information from the internet providers using his super-human powers.

RIP Sargent Preston of the Yukon

Consistent with a nation that provides free health care to all its citizens, as do all industrialized countries except the USA. The USA is number one on spying on everyone and invading other countries and killing innocent people.
