A priest was killed and another critically wounded Wednesday night in an attack at a Catholic church in Phoenix. The Rev. Kenneth Walker was fatally shot and the Rev. Joseph Terra is hospitalized in critical condition, police said. It was not clear what type of weapon was used to attack Terra. Terra had called 911 at 9 p.m. to report a burglary. "The police are still gathering information and trying to sort through the details of this senseless act of violence," the Diocese of Phoenix said in a statement.

Shooting a couple of priests for a robery? That is sensless.

No - shooting someone for no reason is senseless. Committing a crime, including a shooting, in order to get something that is not otherwise yours is not senseless.

Snippy, snippy, when are you going to learn? It's bad manners to say "shoot". The NRA seriously frowns on it.

The Rev. Kenneth Walker was fatally shot and the Rev. Joseph Terra is hospitalized in critical condition,

From what I have read Father Joseph Terra injures was caused by him being beaten.

The person or persons who did this are sick and I pray that they will not injure any one else and for their souls, I all so pray for the Priests.
RIP Father Walker

The NRA opened a new branch office in Phoenix, sad. I'm not a fan of any organized religion but it pisses me off when innocent people die or are wounded by troglodytes with guns. Hell is starting to get full with these criminal gun nuts.......

Can you "infringe" on someone's right to carry a gun to church?

Obviously people do, so my guess is no.

You guess wrong.

•State or local government/private establishments or events when asked by the operator/sponsor/agent. Most government facilities will provide a location to temporarily store a firearm. Persons who refuse to leave and/or secure their weapon are trespassing and can be cited or arrested for ARS 13-1502 or ARS 13-1503, depending on the venue (peace officers are excepted) http://phoenix.gov/webcms/groups/

the roast duck, w/Yorkshire pudding & apples i had last October proved that logic flawed.

It depends on state laws and the church involved.

There's a mega-church in Colorado that uses concealed carrying, plain clothes members as security. Other churches have firearms strictly banned.

Some times we have to have faith in God.

When one goes to Church is one of those times.

i.e. while in Church no guns.

Shooter must have been beating the crap out of the old priest when the young priest caught him.
