Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The first police officer at the scene of Tupac Shakur's 1996 drive-by murder has revealed the last words spoken by the late rap legend. "He looked at me, and he took a breath to get the words out, and he opened his mouth," says Chris Carroll, a retired sergeant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, in a new feature with Vegas Seven. "And then the words came out: 'F---- you.'"

Carroll said he's speaking now because retiring from Vegas police has allowed him the freedom to speak about the homicide case without being reprimanded. "It's been almost 18 years," he said. "There's clearly never going to be a court case on this." Also, he said he didn't want "Tupac to be a martyr or a hero because he told the cops 'F---- you.'"

Tupac was an over rated man-child.

Maybe it was some cops that shot him.

Doesn't matter who murdered him. The issue is that there is no way that there wasn't footage. There simply is no place outside of the white house or pentagon that has more cameras. i.e. the hit was authorized.

Why mourn the scum if that was the last thing he said? We used to admire Nathan Hale and such for their last words.

Scum? That's a bit harsh. Did he sleep with your girlfriend or something?

Imagine needing help as you are dying maybe comfort or pressure on a wound and all a cop can say is who did it?

The cop is lying;

Actually Tupac said; 'oh the existential injustice of being thusly disposed. The irony reminds one of the words of Socrates, upon the realization that he was about to shuck off this mortal coil, when he said, 'I thought it was just purple drank'.

"Cop Reveals Tupac Shakur's Dying Words"

Had they been "Rosebud", this story would have been worth reading.

The horror, the horror....

Those weren't his last words, it's what I said when I heard his 'music'.

What did Tupac expect? To earn praise from his killers?

And somewhere, there's some stupid black person/thug/hoodie wearer going "Yea, no snitchin"...

The black race is doomed..
