Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, May 17, 2014

Two long-shot candidates in the Idaho gubernatorial race stole the show in Wednesday's Republican primary debate. On stage were Gov. Butch Otter, state Sen. Russ Fulcher, as well as Harley Brown and Walt Bayes. Bayes, early on in the debate, said he went to jail for homeschooling his kids. Brown, wearing a leather biker vest, explained how bikers have suffered discrimination. Brown said bikers "are cop magnets like a Playboy bunny wearing a mini skirt that gets hit on all the time."

Brown defended his infamous "Harleyisms" saying "I hit everybody. Jews, Polish people, Irish, Italians, religious jokes and black jokes." He later said "I don't like political correctness. It sucks. It's bondage."

Bayes: "I honestly think half of the Republican Party is Democrats and half of the Democratic is Communist."

If by chance one of the conservative "fringe guys" wins this election, the late night comics and the folks at the Comedy Chanel will immediately lay-off their comedy writers, they wont be needed for the next 4 years. But it will be a boon for youtube.com

You call that thought? The only reason they let them debate was to show how stupid republicans can be. The republican party just made laughing stocks of themselves to the whole world. My question is I thought Diablo and Afflack lived in Texas why you guys running for Gov. of Idaho.

Funny guys to listen to in a bar, but does anyone want them as political leaders, managing public money and trying to do what's right, not what's funny?

Both parties are so fascist that it is only a matter of time until a pat robertson clone becomes a serious challenger.

Really, Patron? Which country do you live in where you accept the ill-defined 'they' you mention to determine who can debate?
