Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) on Wednesday morning urged his fellow lawmakers not to use the investigation he is leading into the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, to raise money, calling it a subject that "transcends politics."

Minutes earlier, the National Republican Congressional Committee sent out a fundraising email tied to Gowdy's role leading a select committee to investigate the attacks.

I didn't really think the Republicans could be any more cynical but every time I think they have hit their lowest, most dispicable level, they surprise me with an even lower and even more dispicable level. I think Americans are beginning to recognize what a bunch of political hacks they really are and that they never put the country ahead of their party.

The GOP is hell bent to prove that these four deceased in Benghazi are worth significantly more dead than they were alive.

Isn't it great that the NRCC is using 4 dead Americans to raise money.

So classy.

I first read about this "outrage' this morning in the paper...

more wonderfully delightful double standard and pure nonsense from the radical left....

reminds me of pelosi's 'outrage' that the benghazi committee will be 7 to 5 gop and so many other examples of the radical left wing zealot's selective memory.......

I guess it's okay to lie to the tear stained faces of these dead than it is to ask for support in fighting these despicable heroes of the democrat party.

If true, I think it's unfortunate that any request was made and I would have not done it, but to SUDDENLY become so concerned about the four dead Americans only shows your desperation to help the white house to keep this covered protecting his legacy and shielding this from Killery's future...

the REAL funny part is you radicals still think you can get away with it unscathed....

ha ha..

4 dead is tragic, but for GOP 4000 dead Americans didn't bother them a whit. They cheered on Bush/Cheney for sending them over there and ESPECIALLY AFKABL2, then known as Bushlover.

I love bush, too.

if the white house had been honest about this whole thing, we'd be talking more about the draft or the housewives of Atlanta OR the look of 'concern' on the first ladies face as she ATTACKS terrorism with a selfie....

but then, the first lady might be ann romney instead...

Otherwise known as the GOP concern for embassy attacks from 2001-2009.

Any and all of the obama administration's failures should be used against the dems in fundraising a we know there are no limit to where the dems will go.

Well we know that the GOP will never pass the chance to use dead Americans to raise money, so I guess both parties have no limit eh MSGT?

I thought you guys were "supposed" to be better.

Guess not.

Most of the Dems who signed on thought Bush would be coming back to Congress before actually invading, they were only agreeing so that Bush would have more leverage in forcing Saddam to allow the weapons inspectors back in, which he did do. Many of the Dems were quite angry that Saddam went ahead and invaded anyway.
Secondly, the intelligence given to Congress was a bunch of lies and the Bush administration knew it but the Dems, at the time, did not.

Sorry about that, should have proofed. Should have been:

In a word - yes.

I was glad to see Gowdy call this out, particularly if he is going to lead an investigation and have any credibility in doing so.

I agree with you on this one, Danni. This is a BS move. It's a classless move. Hell, it's a repugnant move.

How about more than 50 million, Danni?

I am just SO HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY that democrats have NEVER done anything even remotely like this....they could not have possibly even tried to make money off of....oh say the war in iraq.

OOPS !!!!!

dailycaller.com

-- where was the outrage as they fundraised endlessly off the Iraq War?"

"Where was the outrage as they viciously attacked our commanders?" Cotton continued, his voice quavering with anger. "Where was the outrage when they said that soldiers were war criminals? Where was the outrage when they said the war was lost? Where was the outrage when they said that only high school dropouts join the army?"

"Forgive me if I don't join my Democratic colleagues in sharing in their fake outrage," the congressman spat. "Four Americans lost their lives that night in Benghazi. They deserve justice. The American people deserve the truth."

"Secondly, the intelligence given to Congress was a bunch of lies and the Bush administration knew it..."

At this point that should go without saying.

"... but the Dems, at the time, did not."

But that earns you the funny flag. Unless you're talking about desperately willful ignorance. Almost all of the information that demonstrated deception on the part of the Bush administration was available to the public before the invasion.

how many Americans died in those 12 attacks???

how many terrorists and killers were arrested and/or killed after those attacks...??

this argument is so bogus that I'm embarrassed for you when I read it..over and over and over...

no you people ALWAYS ignore THOSE TRUTHS...
